We are BWV owners and have never stayed across the lake. My friend and I are taking our two teenaged sons in a few weeks, and we're staying at BCV. I wanted to ask those of you who are familiar with BCV what we should remember and do and look out for. We're staying in a 2BR.

Also, a few specifics:

We'll arrive probably before check-in, and we thought we'd change and let the boys enjoy SAB. Is there a nice changing facility out there? Where is it? (I know there's a great restroom next to Beaches N Cream, but I don't see it as being a good changing facility. I know there must be one.)

One of our party will be celebrating her birthday while we're there. I think she's going to want to do the Birthday FastPasses at Epcot. Can we get these at the back gate? (Is there a Will Call office there?)

Would you recommend using valet or just parking the car ourselves? I've heard that parking is fairly close to the units over at BCV. It's so far at BWV, we've always used valet there. How is it different?

Any bus tips? We share with you over at BWV a lot, but I know there are some differences.

Thanks to all the experts. We're very excited about trying something different, and the boys are mega excited about SAB.

You will need to check in before using SAB even if your room isn't expected to be ready. At SAB use is restricted and they do check room keys.

The changing facility is in the Health Club facilities. There are lockers to store things in as well as the changing/showering area. I've used it once and it was very clean, DSis has used it and thought it needed a cleaning, so it's hit or miss regarding cleanliness just from our two uses.

I would park my own car. Not only is the lot close by, there's an elevator by the parking lot end. Valet parking would get you to BC's lobby and that's not where the villas are.

I do not know about the Birthday passes.

Howdy. I own at the BCV. Park your own car, the parking is so close to the Villas. Don't forget the 'secret sidewalk' over to Epcot! The gelato is to die for. Sandwiches are good too. You can pick up your fast pass at the 'back gate'. Need your ID w/a birthdate on it. Be sure and wear the birthday button, I got a free ice cream (and wasn't even expecting that when I ordered). Bus transportation is fine. Never had an issue. For me, I HATE the Villas that face that darned road! Be sure and let them know about the birthday, we've been hit and miss w/the treats we get. Once my sis (we're old) was with me for her birthday and she got balloons on the door, a card and some treat. Made her feel special, even at her age!

We always park the car. We always ask for a room close to the villa pool because when Storm along bay closes the villa pool stays open. We have spent plenty of late nights in the villa Hot tub.

Other than the normal walk that goes from BC right over to Epcot, I don't know about this one. Y'all tell....

Can you further explain the secret sidewalk? Where is it? I own there and have stayed a few times, and I don't think I know where it is.

You can walk to Epcot from the villas by walking along the rear/side of one wing of the Beach Club hotel. You will have the woods on the left and the Beach Club rooms on the right. You get to this path by going out by the Ariel statue, heading toward the Marketplace, but turn left along the path at the point where the smoking area is. You then make a right and you're on the path to Epcot.

When you reach the main walkway, note the little gate, that's your landmark to turn back in the path when you leave Epcot.

Is check in for BCV the same for BC? Would it be possible to check in, park our car, then bring our luggage in at that time?

Same check in. You can check in and get your keys. If your room is ready, move your luggage to the room, if not, leave it in the car until your room is ready.

Hi, We have owned DVC at BCV since they opened and I have one teenage boy(15) and one DS that is now 21. We have stayed there quite a few times over the years and it is my BOYS favorite resort! SAB usually has organized games during the afternoon that your boys may want to check out. Also there is an ARCADE right next to Beaches and Cream which my boys have spent quite a bit of time in,it is a LARGE arcade. Hurricane Hannahs is the Pool area CS and B&Cream has a take-out for ice cream and drinks only. The Marketplace is the one area that you can refill your own refillable mug (I usually stop on my way to the pool for an ice tea),GREAT for grabbing breakfast also. There is also a VERY nice community room when you first walk into the Villa Building has a tv and lots of seating, an area the boys might like to HANG out in?? Any more ??'s just ask. I am sure you will ENJOY your time there!! Joan
