Well, there you have it.
I have been many times to WDW in the past with friends, but now many of them are married and are doing family type vacations. I seem to be unable to talk anyone into a WDW trip this year. Oh well:confused3
This year I turn 50 (chronologically not emotionally) on Nov 10th and I really would like to be in WDW. I have a ressie for CSR Nov 8-18. I've never been alone but I've been there enough in the past to know that I would be comfortable going solo.
It would however be nice to meet up with some people during the time I am there. I would also love to eat supper with some *new friends* on the 10th at Citricos for the big 5-0!! I admit to wanting to order one of those fancy cool looking cakes. I really can't justify ordering something like that and being alone at the table.
So, I know it's quite a ways off, but to any who are from the Orlando area or will be there during those days... think about the possiblity of getting together!
I enjoy meeting people from all over and I think it would be a fun time!!

Think about it.
:goodvibes Liz

I know it's a ways off and I haven't booked anything yet, but I might be around for a part of those dates. Tossing around those dates solo or going in Dec. with my DIS friend.

Will let you know what I decide!!

One of these days I'm going to be there to celebrate my birthday on 11/9--sorry it won't be this year or I'd join you!

Hi Liz!! My birthday is Nov. 3 (I'll be hitting 42). Disney on your birthday is the best! I've done two solo trips and would love to do one every year, but DH is suddenly very much against them. However, I might sneak one in, so I'll keep your dates in mind if I do - would love to meet with you and help you celebrate!:goodvibes

I know this is really early but I love all things associated with planning for a Disney trip!
I luveeyore and traveling tigger: If either of you go it would be fun to meet:thumbsup2
aggielawyer, perhaps another year we could meet and have a group b-day dinner!

Thanks everyone, I really know it's far away.. but happily the times generally goes pretty fast. I can't wait for November and the possibility of meeing Dis people!:yay:
Liz

I love how the planning makes the time pass - I don't go with my family until Christmas, but I live on the DIS daily to get my fix through others!
Hopefully you find some solos to meet up with Liz. I wish my sis or my BFF had my Disney sickness, it would help me pay for a room and justify a trip without hubby! But November's a way off, so who knows what will happen - I just might see you there!:goodvibes

I will be down there the week after Thanksgiving - Nov. 27th through Dec. 4th - I am hoping for a solo trip again this year.

And I will be turning 50 myself this year - in August :woohoo:

I just keep getting better with age.

Make sure you get your "Birthday button" ! I celebrated my 50th at WDW with friends who
made sure I wore this button! I was glad I did. I was treated to quite a few free ice cream
treats that day!!:goofy:

Missytara:happy b-day in advance! Too bad we`ll miss each other by a couple weeks.
Airhead I surely will get a button. I enjoy saying happy B-day toothers who have theirs on!
Iluveeyore! I know it`s early yet for November but I figure I`d start early.

Now a general question. I`m staying at CSR. Do single women feel safe going from the bus stops there cutting across the parking lot and getting to their room in the dark..... I was there last year so I know the set up of the place and really like it, but I was just thinking of the safety involved.
Would a Deluxe feel safer... just wondering...

I haven't stayed at CSR, but I was at Pop solo and didn't ever feel unsafe. I was more concerned with my room location--I didn't want to be on the ground floor. I didn't make any specific requests, and they put me on the 2nd floor so that was fine.

hey - keep me in mind - hopefully we can meetup
I turn 53 Nov 13th - moved down from MA to FL just over a year ago
I was at WDW (EpCot, Off Kilter) to be exact when I turned 50 few years back - lots of fun

Newholidayx2: I'll for sure keep you in mind! It would be fun. November is a good time for b-days I think.:thumbsup2
Good for you to moving to Fla. I was born in Mass. but moved west then far north! Florida always sounds very appealing come winter up here!

There's alot of time, would think of the possibilities of hitting WDW in Nov. Happy Birthday to you by the way.

Robert: Thanks for the early happy b-day!
November was a fantastic time to go last year. I went for approximately the same dates, 8-18. Very low crowds, never really bothered with fast passes and never got there at rope drop since it wasn't necessary. WE also got very lucky with great weather. 80 degrees during the day, not really any rain to speak off and at night just a light windbreaker and shorts worked great. Most people were very friendsly because of lack of crowds. We used TGM so I guess there could ahve been crowds that we did not see. Christmas decorations were up then too!
Yup, I like November:thumbsup2

Hi

I spent my 60th birthday at WDW so I know how much fun it can be. I will be back at the World on November 10 and would love to join you for dinner if you're still in the market for company. I live in Los angeles and this will be my 4th trip to the World. Bought into the DVC hype the second year I went and now I'll be going FOREVER!

Hi Rona,
You're on! It would be good to a share a dinner!! :-)
You're brave living in LA. Lots of people. I grew up in the Bay Area and now live on the Prairies. Winters were much nicer in San Jose though;)
The summers however can't be beat up here. Day break 0430 or so. Sunset 1030 pm.... That's nice.
Liz
