First SO renewal due. What is the best way

Our passes expire may 4 this was our first time with AP and we were able to get two trips out of them so now our renewal date is may 4 and we'll probably only get one trip out of them but at the renewal date is cheaper or buy the tickets before we go and we could possibly get 2 trips in since then our expiration date would be Jan instead of may see have to adjust the dates for the second trip but it could work also are there any deals like get 13 months for the price of 12 thanks for any advice

The 13 month deal was just a one time offer. Not likely to come back anytime soon. If you don't plan to go on a 2nd trip, I would just wait and get the AP when you are ready to go. You can buy now, and not activate them until you go, that would lock in todays prices.

We only renew our annual passes if we have two trips planned in that calendar year.

If we don’t, we will just wait and buy all new annual passes.

You will pay a little more for a new pass, but you will get the whole year to use it. If you renew without a trip planned, we think that is just money wasted.

It's all about the cost effectiveness. Unless that one trip is long enough that an AP would cost less than a ticket then I'd buy the ticket and then start a new AP the next time there would be at least 2 trips within a years time.
