First run movies on Dream?

So I read that they play first run movies. GOTG comes out May 5th 2017. My cruise is 4 night going out May 1st. Do you think it will be playing on board?

They tend to do first runs at around midnight on the day before release if they are going to do them in advance or on the day of. Therefore I would be surprised as the 4th would be your last night and most things onboard shut down around 12ish. That said its not impossible. I'd email DCL direct and ask as they can tell you what movies are going to be on about 2 weeks in advance and we are pretty close right now.

Yes, I think it will be playing on board on your last night at midnight. We have been on board when there was a midnight premiere on the last night of our cruise.

Yes it will be playing on all 4 ships. All new Disney movies is played on all 4 ships.

we had Zootopia as a midnight premier on our last cruise...............those are always fun to go to.

(as an aside: for huge premiers like Star Wars they actually held staggered multiple showings starting at 7 pm with the last one at 5-ish in the morning on debarkation day)

But "normal" premiers my understanding is they are at midnight.

OP, I could not for the life of me figure out which movie you meant....haha too much wine with dinner!!! Finally figured it out...the new Guardians of the Galaxy. Loved the first movie and absolutely LOVED the soundtrack!!!
