"First rule of leadership, Princess...." ~Overdosing on Ice Cream

I am not a pencil person but have a "thing" about pens so I can relate. And I am much better writing things out long-hand. For some reason I just can't "think" directly into the computer. :confused3

I can't think directly into the computer either. Also I love to write, it's my form of relaxation/stress reliever. The kids at school want to know what I'm writing all the time.

If I'm writing in my personal journal, I like longhand. For novels/stories/DIS, I'm a computer gal. My fingers can't move fast enough longhand to get all my thoughts or ideas down before they fly out of my brain, which I guess I find more crucial for the latter items than my own "life ramblings." :rotfl:

I am caught up! Phew. Leaving the DIS for a week is a bad idea. :lmao:

Your new house is beautiful. I hope you are enjoying it. :goodvibes

I love that they pick you up for you DVC tour. I wonder if I can convince DH to do that. Hehehe.

Thank you. The DVC was fun and I love being able to flip through my Dreams book and daydream about being a member.

Wow i finally read your TR and it is great :thumbsup2 , can't wait to hear more...
:goodvibes Thank you.

Next chapter coming tonight. :thumbsup2

I found your TR last night and have finally caught up. I love your writing style, especially the quotes before each chapter. I think you have a great family and I have had many laugh out loud moments. Looking forward to the next installment.

"Love in a roller coaster...
Livin' it up when I'm goiiiiin' dowwwwnn!" -Aerosmith

David and I re-entered Hollywood Studios and decided to have the kids meet us somewhere over by Rock n Roller Coaster since that was next on our agenda. We kept trying to call both Daisy's and Aunt Pat's cell phones and finally got a hold of Daisy and told her where to meet us.

While we waited David and I did some shopping in a gift shop on Hollywood Blvd. I found a picture frame for our "First Family" photo and we had it sent back to the hotel. We then waited outside for the kids and Aunt Pat. It was very grey out and definitely looking like it was going to rain. They came down the road and we all headed off for Rock n Roller Coaster.

We entered the Fast Pass line and the kids filled us in on what they had done while we were gone.

After lunch at Sci-Fi they had gone over to Animation Academy and explored there for a long time. They did not do the tour or the drawing class, but found lots to enjoy looking at. Aunt Pat, who also gets wound up about being on time and not missing things, then had them go get seats for Lights! Motors! Actions! The boys had been looking forward to that show since they saw it on one of our dvds about Disney World. They all loved the stunt show and I am sorry that David and I didn't get to see it. After the stunt show Aunt Pat got them a snack and then it was time to meet us.

While we were going through the line Daisy was getting more and more freaked out. She and I are the same about roller coasters. We love Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, and Space Mountain. However the scarier roller coasters like California Screamin and Expedition Everest frighten us to much. Now the thought of going upside down had me a little freaked out as well, but I figured I could do it once so we were all together as a family, and I also figured since it would be dark and I couldn't see down I'd be ok. I tried both of these arguements on Daisy, but she wasn't really buying it.

We entered the loading area and Daisy spied the last "chicken" exit and made a dash for it and bolted out the door before any of us could say anything. I was a little stunned at the speed at which she was gone!

We loaded into the car, the boys sat with David and Aunt Pat and I sat together and then we were off. I honestly did not expect to go upside down immediately. I thought I would have some time to build up to it. After we got off I assured Daisy she had made the right decision to not ride it.

The dump shop with all the Aerosmith stuff was fun to shop in. Joey tried on a long blonde wig which look hilarious on him.

We had more Fast Passes for RnR and the boys wanted to ride again so we sent them around to ride while we shopped. It was now sprinkling off and on and a little chilly and none of the kids had sweatshirts with them so we found some in the shop. Daisy got a super cute blue zip up hoodie that said Aerosmith in silver foil across the chest, and the boys got brown half zip hoodies that said Aerosmith on them.

The boys were off quickly and wanted to go again, we still had sometime before our dinner ADR so I handed them two more Fast Passes and they were off. Aunt Pat, David and Daisy went outside to find the bathrooms and wait and I shopped a bit more. I found VIP Access Passes for RnR with the boys names on them, well they had Adam and they had Joe, which was close enough, and I bought them as souvenirs of their triple ride.

I then figured that it was about time for the the boys to be getting off the ride so I walked over towards the unloading picture screen area to wait for them. About four more cars came through and then the ride stopped.

Now at this point several thoughts began running through my mind causing me to become a little anxious. The first one was that given the amount of time that had gone by I knew the boys were either on the ride or near the front of the line, so not knowing why the ride stopped and the possibility that my nine and eleven year old were on it had me a bit worried. Then the second thought that really had me nervous was that it was getting close to our ADR time and I knew it would not occur to the boys to get out of line if the ride was stopped for a long time. So I stood there stressing out for what felt like a really long time, but was probably only about 10 minutes.

The ride started up again and a few cars later the boys were there. They had been right at the front of the line when the ride stopped. I had wanted to get the picture from that last ride, but we were so close to our ADR time that I didn't want to take the time to purchase it and risk being late. I hurried the boys out of there and we regrouped outside under ever darkening clouds.

Yeay! Great update!!! Charles and Chelsea love RnRCoaster, but Connor and I have yet to get up the nerve to ride it! I laughed when I read about how Daisy bolted -- I would have been right behind her!!! :lmao:

Love love love that ride! My girls do too and my son just can't wait to be tall enough!

I remember the rain that day, we were wandering World Showcase in it!

We avoided the rain for the most part, I was glad that it held off until evening to really start raining.

I would love to ride the RNRC 3 times in a row!!! Lucky boys!

And all the kids are lucky for getting Aerosmith hoodies! maybe I can convince my mom to buy me one of those on our trip. Does that work for 28 year olds?

Great update. The boys must have been excited to ride RnRC 3 times in a row. I would have stressed a little too if DS was on there when the ride stopped:eek:

Can't wait to read more

They were excited to ride it 3 times, I got major points for that one.

Great update! I barely remember RnR, except that I loved it! But, I'm a roller coaster junkie-it would not be fun for those that aren't into them.

No it's not like that, there are certain place that you can use your points to stay at that are part of the DVC, you don't have to trade anything. It's just a matter of DVC rooms being available, same as the villas at WDW.

I was talking about trading for non-DVC resorts. You might be right, but I know of at least one person on Disboards who got "matched" for Hawaii in October--she was on a list for at least several months before the match happened. The only non-WDW DVC locations I know of are Vero Beach and Hilton Head. And those are rentable just on points.

That might be because the DVC hotel in Hawaii isn't finished yet, so they weren't staying at a DVC place. The book is in the car, but there are lots of hotels all over the world that are part of DVC that you can stay at with your points.

Thank you for all the DVC information. It is good to know that you can just use your points for the areas that have DVC, and then you only have to "trade" for those that aren't DVC locations. Now I have to dig into if it's a good deal or not for those locations outside of WDW....

Some of the non-disney properties use points, but have to be booked as an "exchange" which means you put your points out there to exchange for a week, and then they search for someone who owns at that resort who wants Disney points - then they make the reservation for you upon your approval. Your points are held from the time you make the request. What's cool is that your points are worth more at other resorts than at Disney, so you can do a week with some left over to bank.

Other resorts can ge booked by the night and you just call CM to make the ressies for you and use your points.

Loved your DVC tour - you will be "welcomed home" soon - you can't help it. We are so glad we did! Our recent stay at DLH in a suite was only 84 points for 4 days - I believe we saved over $800 on those rooms because we are still paying - in another 3 years, all of our rooms will have paid for themselves, and our stays will be virtually free for the next 40 years! We can use the points for cruises, too!

Next update should be up tonight or tomorrow. I had to buy pencils today so that I could write it. I have a pencil "thing" I can only use Ticonderoga pencils, I don't even like to touch any other kind. At school I always keep a big box of them in my desk, but none of them made it home with me when school was out. So my one pencil that I'd had for awhile got lost in the move, so I needed to buy some new ones. Now I'm all set to write the next chapter.

I was seriously thinking you were kidding! :rotfl: Kind of like, "my dog ate my homework." but I read the rest of the posts - I was hooked on the Ticonderoga automatic pencils when I worked - had to special order them at Staples. Now at home I don't use pencils much.

About RNR - I don't blame Daisy for "ducking" out at all! :goodvibes I have made myself do the scarier rides in the past few years, and I find that I do love them, but it is still hard to make myself do them! I'm glad the boys got to ride it 3 times! :thumbsup2

Oh, and I love your house!

:lmao: Totally NOT kidding! I have to have my pencils!

I just listened to 5 minutes of why she wouldn't go on it because one of the Jonas Brothers looked "terrified" on it, which then morphed into something about Frankie being the "bonus" Jonas brother. I don't know I didn't really follow what she was yammering about.

Oh, and I love your house!

Thank you.
