"First rule of leadership, Princess...." ~Overdosing on Ice Cream

Love the house pics! Nice decorating skills, miss...your house should be on HGTV. HGTV is my second obsession, besides Disney.

I've stayed at a 2 bedroom at SSR. I love the theme there because it is very subtle. Great resort, minus the bus system, which stops multiple times in the same resort because it is so spread out.

If I were part of DVC, my home resort would be there or BWV.

Coronado Springs has multiple stops for it's resort to. I think you either have that or your bus goes to multiple hotels like the boardwalk area one which serves Boardwalk Inn, Beach Club, The Swan, The Dolphin. Either way you are on the bus for multiple stops. :confused3

Thanks! Are you all moved in?

Wow your home is so very pretty! I'm jealous!

DVC? More jealousy! I am glad to hear it is low key though. I hate pushy sales people.

I'm so glad to hear it was a soft sale! DH keeps bringing up DVC and even ordered a Disney Planning Video and watched all the DVC videos first. Which of course makes me SMILE! I'm not sure we can afford it now, espeically since we want to move, but maybe someday!

The thing that I didn't know about that I learned on the video was that you can also stay at other places besides WDW - but from what I quickly read on the DIS sometimes it's hard to find a trade for other locations...? I gotta do more research on it sometime though to see how it all works!

Anyway-great update, looking forward to more!

You don't have to trade for other locations, you just have to use your points. :confused3

Your house is beautiful! My daughter and I are contemplating DVC and haven't been able to decide yet what we want to do.
Maybe we will schedule a tour while we are there and that will help us decide.....

Good idea, the tour was nice just to get a feel for the villas room sizes.

That is strange....from the thread I read on the DVC board it sounded like you had to wait for an opening and trade or something. Huh...maybe I just read it wrong. That would be a good clincher for us - we like to do WDW every other year, and try somewhere new on the off years.

This is something I really have to dig into now! :)

I would so love to own DVC and be guaranteed regularly scheduled trips to Disney!:goodvibes My husband would never go for it. Something about wanting to see "other parts of the world, too":confused3 Your hard work paid off, because your house is just beautiful! You must be so proud!:thumbsup2

I'm not sure how the booking for other places works, if it is the same 7 months out as your non home Disney resort or not? I'm sure there are limitations on it, that they only have a certain number of DVC rooms, but you get a DVC agent to help you make all the reservations so it shouldn't be to difficult. They are building some Hawaii DVC resorts right now.

Thank you. We are pretty worn out right now from moving stuff in and cleaning, but it feels good to finally be in our new house!

I do think you have to do a "match" or something. Like say you want to go to a Hawaii resort sometime in January 2009--your request gets put in the system and what happens (I think) that if an owner of the Hawaii timeshare then wants to go to WDW in January 2009 there's a "match" and you are able to trade.

No it's not like that, there are certain place that you can use your points to stay at that are part of the DVC, you don't have to trade anything. It's just a matter of DVC rooms being available, same as the villas at WDW.

The new house looks awesome!!!!!!!!!!

I am crossing my fingers you will be a DVC member soon!:thumbsup2
