"First rule of leadership, Princess...." ~Overdosing on Ice Cream

Wow, sounds like that waiter had his grumpy britches on! I'm so sorry about your mini mommy meltdown! I've had several, usually exaserbated by a heapin' helpin' of hormones. Hope the tears helped to wash away some of the yucky, unmagical feelings.

They did.

Dang, sounds like that waiter had his panties in an uproar!!
I would imagine that with all the feelings you were feeling that it was even hard to make it to the bathroom to let the tears fall. I hate that "I know I'm going to cry and I can't do anything to stop it" feeling....grrrr.
I hope the rest of your evening is better and that your feet hurt less tomorrow!!

Boo-hiss to that snarky waiter! :headache: Here's hoping you moved on to better things quickly!!
 Thanks!

I hate that feeling too.

That stinks about the garden grill -- i've never eaten here mostly because of reviews like this! I'll try one day though...

I wouldn't eat there again, but I've read more positive reviews for Garden Grill than I have for Tony's Town Square, and we LOVED Tony's.

That so bad that you had a crappy waiter! :furious:

To me it always feels so wrong to be sad or upset when I'm in disney world, so when it happens it feels 10x's worse!

You did get some great pictures of the kids with the characters!

It does feel wrong to be sad or upset in Disney World. Though it does seem to happen with alarming regularity. ;)

ahh sorri about the meano watier that wasent cool at all and we have never tried the garden gril and we prolly nver will now it soes not sound like theres emough pixie dust there for our tastes i hope that was your last bad dining expericense

Ugh. I hate waiters/waitresses like that. Most of us scrimp and save for these rare vacation and for them to be so rude it totally uncalled for!

It is uncalled for. I think the guy was just totally misplaced in Garden Grill, David thought he must have been use to working in a fancier place.

I'm glad the characters at least made up a little for that awful waiter! I think we've all had meltdowns at Disney (just be glad you got a little privacy). On our first trip, I had a BIG meltdown at the hat in MGM; nowhere to run to hide those tears! Or the PMS tirade! I hate that Adam had to live on french fries and cupcakes for his dinner!

Looking forward to see where you go next!:moped:

Silly waiter! Sorry to hear that. At least you'll have good memories of Epcot from that day to make up for it. :goodvibes

I think I am all caught up now!

That's too bad about the waiter at Garden Grill and your blister! :worried:

Sounds like you guys enjoyed eating your way around World Showcase -- that was one of our favorite parts of the trip!

Epcot seems to be the place for meltdowns - I had mine there a few years ago - and surprisingly Garden Grill was involved. We stopped by GG to see if we could get in and couldn't so we were headed back to the Electric Umbrella - or somewhere in that general direction to eat (or so I thought) because 4 out of 5 of us were starved! We always eat at Garden Grill on Epcot day so our tummies were all prepared for "all-you-can-eat" and when they got nothing they were disappointed and letting us know it! Hungry mom's are crabby mom's. ::yes:: So while 4 out of 5 of us are following our hungry tummies in search of food, 1 of us says we should go to the Living Seas (before Nemo moved in) since we were in the area. 4 out of 5 of us start grumbling so 1 of us stomps off like he is doing us a big favor by allowing us to have food - but making it painfully aware that he will be in a major snit the rest of the day :furious: Knowing him the way I do :sad2: I figured the lesser of 2 evils was to allow my children and myself to continue starving so my husband could look at fish - otherwise the day was shot and he would be pouting and making everybody miserable :rolleyes1 So while he is stomping off I stop and tell him that if "he wants to go look at his *ing fish" (nice use of alliteration - but decidededly non-Disney words!!!) he better do it now :confused3 and headed that way dragging said starving children along with me. There was no ride there - it was just walking around and looking at fish. And I am sorry, but some areas of that pavilion smell and when I am hungry to the point of a headache - smelling fishy water is not my idea of a good time. :( I kept a respectful distance from hubby, did not partake of fish watching - but kept hubby and starving children within eyesight so I would be ready when they finally headed towards the exit. Once his fish-viewing was over, and I was sufficiently fed popcorn:: then I was able to talk to him again without wanting to beat him and vacation could officially resume. :wizard: Now you may ask yourself what the difference was between my pouting my way through Living Seas or him pouting his way through lunch??? See - mine ended once I had food  - his would have continued throughout the day because we would have either had to backtrack to go to Living Seas, or we would have skipped it and either way it would have been our fault. :headache:

Fortunately incidents like that don't happen too often.

I am surprised by the various negative comments about Garden Grill, though. That is one of the few places that we try to do each trip. There are others that we wind up at just about every trip - but Garden Grill is the one that I have actually made ADRs for - and I hate making ADRs. In fact it was because of this trip and our not getting to eat there that I started making ADRs for there each time. :)

Stop being a tease and get busy on that trip report! ;)
