"First rule of leadership, Princess...." ~Overdosing on Ice Cream

Very nice. I asked Dh if the kids or HSA did anything for them last week and he did this :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :sad2:

Great updates! The CP pics are adorable - we almost went there, but I was nervous because the UG said it was very loud, and ds doesn't do well in loud spaces.

Pinocchio looked yummy - that's the first good review I've seen of it! I esp. liked the panini pic - I love paninis!

Love the washer & dryer pics, too - they look much too grand for my humble laundry/storage basement area, though!

Happy belated Mother's Day to you, too!

And, um, I didn't even know there was such a thing as Teacher Appreciation Week!

That is a really cute Teacher Appreciation Week! I'll have to remember that theme when it rolls around next year! I'm on our PTA and it is always cool to gather ideas from other schools/places.

Very cute ideas for teacher appreciation week! I love that it was themed!

It was a very cute idea, I was impressed with the whole week.

CP was loud, but not overly loud.

They also put up really cute posters made to look like travel postcards with pictures of staff that turned out great.

Your washer and dryer look fantastic. Love the color!
When our dryer died two years ago, we bought the largest front loading washer & dryer at the store, with all the options, and the pedestals and they are wonderful. They make such a difference! You'll love them!

Nice teacher appreciation week! Really creative & fun.

The Pirate & Princess shirts came out cute.

Thank you! :goodvibes I'm looking forward to using the new washer and dryer when we get moved in.

"Still rooting for you, mate!" -Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man's Chest

We finished up dinner at Pinnochio's and then made our way easily across the park. The Pirates and Princesses Party had officially started and the park was uncrowded. Everything we went on was a walk on all night. After watching a few empty logs come down the hill on Splash Mountain we walked up and rode it ourselves.

Then it was on to Big Thunder Mountain.

Aunt Pat skipped it this time.

After that we walked around the back way through empty walkways to Adventureland.

There was a show about to start across from Pirates of the Caribbean, but no on but me wanted to stay and watch it.

So we went on POTC. We were the only ones in our boat with empty boats in front of us and behind us. It was kind of eery to be on the ride all by ourselves. After we got off we explored a little in the gift shop and David tried on a Captain Jack Sparrow hat.

I then went outside to sit and wait for them to finish up. It was just starting to get dark and I enjoyed my people watching very much.

When Joey came out he had bought a sword.

IMG_6089.jpg

As he was showing it to me, two little boys about 5 years old, dressed in pirate costumes came up to him with their swords and challenged him to a duel. Joey loves little kids and he's always very good with them. He was very gentle in his sword play with them. It was one of those priceless moments and I so wish that I had a picture of it, but it happened so fast I didn't even have time to put the camera up to my eye.

The duel over the kids went to a treasure spot that was right there and received bead necklaces. We then moved on towards a snack cart and purchased some snacks. I got grapes and a diet coke. Daisy got popcorn.

David and the boys got ice cream.

Aunt Pat just had water.

Since it was right there we took the opportunity to explore The Swiss Family Tree House.

Sitting on the bench at the bottom of the Tree House we spotted a couple of camels from Aladdin, but didn't get pictures with them.

Daisy was off shopping in the gift shop by the Magic Carpets, where she bought a ring.

We then walked towards the castle hub to find spots for the parade. The Dreams Come True show was going on so we watched the last half of it from our staked out parade spots.

I've never seen those camels out, cool! I loved the party that night, just loved it!

Duct tape can fix a lot. ;)

I love your new W&D!!! That's the exact set I'm wanting! A couple of years ago, our DS needed a set, so DH bought a "slightly used" set from a guy at work - it was supposed to be almost new! :thumbsup2 He gave the kids our old set - well when it arrived it was from the 80's! Men! Neither one of them even knew! Ha! The story was that his mom had left it in storage with them! I really miss my old washer, but the gas dryer is nice. Anyway, it's ugly and it's off my kitchen, and the spin cycle shakes everything in the house - sounds like a jet taking off! I've been spending my extra $$ on vacation lately, so no new one in the immediate future - I do have my priorities! :goodvibes

Where else do things like the duel happen except at Disney? What a great story!!!!!

Touring when it's uncrowded definitely allows for some of those bench sitting, people watching moments......:thumbsup2

Camels? I didn't even know they existed...

I didn't know those camels existed either. :confused3

how cool no lines.

Love the story about the duel what a fantastic son you have.

The no lines was cool. :thumbsup2

We ran into one of those camels! Bailie was totally creeped out by it!

I have never seen those camels! They look so crazy!

I would have been a little freaked out by empty Pirates of the Caribbean...

It's so nice that the park was empty. I love going on rides with no lines!
