"First rule of leadership, Princess...." ~Overdosing on Ice Cream

I was a couple updates behind due to my DIS absence over the weekend and I read all about the "CS Table Debate". Seriously? People get annoyed when others save tables at the CS places?! Do people usually drag their children through the line with them instead?

I'm ALL FOR saving tables. Allow the kids to sit and rest instead of squirming everywhere in line and Mom/Dad having to wrangle them along, all the while ordering, paying and balancing food and drinks on a plastic tray. There is no way I'm dragging Henry in a stroller through the line with me when we eat at CS. We'll be the bad table-savers too.

Okay, now that my little rant is over...:rotfl:

The outside fire pit looked like it would be a great place to hang out after dark.

Ahhhhh....:cloud9: I love this spot at the AKL. It's wonderful when the fire is going...they actually do storytelling out in this spot too.

Glad you enjoyed your meal at Boma and your time exploring AKL. I think it will always be very speical to me, as it was my first time at Disney and my honeymoon! :goodvibes I just love the lodge.

BTW - I've been meaning to ask you, since you are so good at taking pictures of all your food - do you know about the Food Pictures Thread? The folks over there would be drooling over your riches of food pics!

I did the same thing at Pizzafari.. I found a table sat the husband and children and then my mom and I went to order. I think I spilled the soda too! Darn no covers there! The one thing I didn't like there was for the kids there was no pizza on the kids menu! PB&J and spaghetti not great choices.
Glad you like the FOTLK.. we missed it this past trip we got there late and it was HOT that day! We left and went to the pool.
As for Boma our cousins that went didn't like it particularly, she said the same thing not the ordinary fare of Disney! So since they didn't like it I chose not to eat there!
What is in a zebra dome?

Mmm...we liked Boma, but I have to admit, I wasn't that impressed with the zebra domes, either. We didn't explore much, tho, so I liked your pics. (Ds didn't like AKL - I think it was a little too over-the-top for him or something).

I agree about no idea why Pizzafari doesn't have a pizza kids meal. I actually got the meatballs for myself so the kids could have pizza (trying to equalize DDP credits) - not realizing they actually count them the same.

And boo on the falling-apart sunglasses!

The zebra domes are definitely different now. Sort of like pudding and chocolate graham cracker crumbs.
I didn't like them at all our last trip. They used to be divine!

I'm not a big fan of Boma's either. I'm glad I tried it, but doubt I'd go again. I can't believe the glasses fell apart!!

AKL looks beautiful. I would love to be sitting at that firepit right now.

Me too! :goodvibes I think that just seeing the firepit makes me want to stay there. I don't even need to see the pool area, which I've heard is fantastic.

Another great update! I can't believe those sunglasses broke so quickly. Pfft!

Yes the sunglasses thing was annoying. Happy 3 days to you! :dance3:

I think AKL looks like a very romantic place to stay.

I knew there was a food pictures thread, I've just never visited it.

The no pizza on the kids menu was part of my stress, since I knew Adam wanted pizza, and I was trying to figure out how to order it since he was the only child on our credits. It turned out it didn't matter, but it I got myself worked up about it.

David liked the AKV rooms on our DVC tour so I figured he would like AKL which he did.

How were they before?

I think I still want to try Boma for breakfast.

:cool2: Sunglasses update- I just found the pair we bought at the Animal Kingdom gift shop on the floor in the spare room yesterday.:rotfl:

Lucky you because the CM that we had would not let us chnge.. we ended up paying out of Pocket for to pizza's boy the boys!

Great update Chel! (I am a couple days behind)

I loved how the (clean) outfits coordinated with AKL.

We had a Boma adventure too, but I don't want to give any spoilers away for our TR, so you'll have to wait a few chapters. I love AKL. I just wish it weren't so hard to get from it to everywhere else.

Boma wasn't bad or anything, it just wasn't a favorite. It was certainly worth going there, to get to explore a little bit of AKL.

Boma wasn't our fav, either. We ate there for dinner - interesting and some good, just not our cup of tea. The next morning, DBIL wanted to eat there as they had gotten in late at night. We really liked the breakfast buffet - the juice was great! As for the zebra domes - unflavored gelatin?:confused3 I really don't get the attraction.

Thanks for the update - loved the "men in black" pic! :thumbsup2

I've heard the breakfast is good, so I will give it a try. I like the men in black picture too.

The first week of school wiped me out! I do have an update written which I will post tonight or tomorrow. I've got to go catch up on all my reading of other reports!

Here's the kids pictures on the first day of school Tuesday.
