First Resort to the Right & Straight Until Relaxation!1/25&1/26 updts!Final thoughts!

Curses...between the Vera email I received today and the picture of your Teva Mush sandals I have been shopping ...bad Jenny!!!

Great update! Sounds like a very relaxing day, just like vacation should be!!

OOOH can't wait to see what the hubby had in store for you!!!

I'm joining!

I love the pictures of BLT. We are trying to secure our reservation there for our family trip in July, but because we don't have ownership in BLT, we have to wait for the seven month window. I'm hopeful we'll get it, but I'm not entirely sure.

Wow, what amazing early morning shots!!! :goodvibes Don't you just love waking up in Disney? I particularly like the one of the monorail with the MK in the background. Awesome.

Sounds like a nice start to the day! Can't wait to hear about MNSSHP.

I missed like 3 updates, but I am caught up now and really enjoying your trip. The 1BR is beautiful and its great that you put the tub to use! I love those tubs. Your pictures are all really nice. I can't remember everything you've done so far, but I am really enjoying reading!

What beautiful sunrise pictures!! :cloud9:The sky is absolutely gorgeous!!! Between you and Mary Ellen I know I never have to wake up that early....I can just look at your pictures!
Great start to the day....Soarin and Sunshine Seasons....I think many of us have had an early morning Epcot day like that!! :thumbsup2
Too funny about finding the information for the car rental on your phone....I don't know what I would do anymore without having everything right there at my fingertips!! :sad2:
Hmmmm a lot of canceled plans and MNSSHP too...just what did DH have up his sleeve? :)
:rotfl2: I so remember that picture of your drink on your Teva!!! That made me laugh right out loud!! I will always be keeping that in mind...that they make a good coaster ;)

Wow, that is probably one of the most relaxing Disney days I've ever read about...and I loved it :thumbsup2 As we all know, a Disney vacation can feel like anything but an actual vacation so it's definitely good to hear about people taking time to relax while in WDW!

OMG, your early morning pictures over Bay Lake are GORGEOUS!! Soooo pretty!

Excited to hear about what Thursday's excursion was and all about your MNSSHP night!

Who knew the Teva Mush had so many uses?

Love, love, LOVE your early morning pictures. Although not sure I can convince myself to get up that early on vacation.

Sorry DH wasn't up to Soarin'. Hope he got to take a flight later in your trip. I missed The Land this trip... will definitely have to go in May.

I'm interested in what you thought of The Wave. I have yet to eat there but really like their natural/organic/local philosophy. And have heard (from Tracy, I believe) that the drinks are pretty good too! :thumbsup2

I know, right?! :lmao: I wasn't about to let any little bit of that drink spill!!

See, that's why it's good that I'm a early morning person! You can live vicariously through me! :lmao:

Poor DH, he really didn't want to risk it!

The Wave was great! More details soon!

:lmao: I'm trying to resist anymore flipflops or purse before our trip! I figure if I get through to Thanksgiving I'll be good, because after that getting it in time for the trip will be a shot in the dark!

It was very, very relaxing day!!! Exactly what I was going for!

Our little excursion was more for him then me, I was just alone for the ride ;)

I'm joining!

Good luck with BLT!!! I really liked staying there!!

Well, you're a busy lady!! I LOVE that tub! I really wish I had put my footdown when we built our house and insisted on a jacuzzi tub!! More coming soon!!

:lmao: Like I told C, that's why it's good that I'm an early morning person! You guys can live through me ;)

We really had a great morning at Epcot!!

I love having the world in my pocket!!! We used the GSP in my phone this past weekend in NYC to make sure we were actually going to get to where we wanted to go!!

Our little side trip was interesting! It was really for DH!! I was just along for the ride!!!

Tevas definitely make a good coaster!!! :rotfl2:

All caught up and subscribed! Can't wait to hear more!

:welcome: Thanks for joining in!!!

Excited to hear about what Thursday's excursion was and all about your MNSSHP night!

It was so nice and relaxing!!! Just what I was going for!!

I was so excited to get those pics!! That sky was crazy beautiful!!! It was a perfect way to start the day!

Our little excursion was fun!! Hopefully I'll get there soon! MNSSHP coming soon!

I left off after our afternoon at the pool!

We went back to the room, showered and got ready for MNSSHP!

Our ADR at The Wave was @ 5 and we arrived at about 4:50. We had to wait until 5 to be seated because they don’t actually open for dinner until 5! So we waited in the lounge where a very nice waitress came to see if we wanted cocktails! We opted out, surprisingly, and decided to wait and have soda with dinner instead of any adult beverages!

At 5 we were seated! Our waitress quickly arrived and took our drink ordered while we looked over the menu!

DH and I both ordered grilled beef tenderloin! Let me tell you, it was fantastic!!! It was so tender and juicy! The potato and onion gratin that accompanied it were also outstanding! Yummy!

For dessert we both went for the Creamy Indulgence! I wish I could remember exactly what we got! Their dessert menu had just been updated so it was different from what is listed on allears. It was 3 different things on a tri-sectioned plate. There was some sort of crème brulee, something that was rich chocolate and something else! It was all absolutely delicious!!! Yummy again!

We left with full, happy bellies and headed off to MK for MNSSHP via our private walkway!

We arrived at MK around 6:30! We collected our wristbands and trick or treat bags and headed in!

Trick or Treat Pumpkins for sale

decoration!

We stopped for our first photopass picture of the night!!

Then we were off for our first ride of the night! Buzz of course!

A picture on the way into Tomorrowland...

Buzz was a walk on and after DH kicked my butt as usual we decided to head into Fantasyland!

In a matter of 30 minutes or so we walked on Pooh, Snow White and Peter Pan! Woo hoo! How we got that lucky I’ll never know but all three were literally walk ons!

After Peter Pan it was after 7 and the party had officially started so we did our first trick or treating of the evening! We also saw something I don’t believe I’ve ever seen before, all 7 Dwarfs out together for a meet and greet! I was tempted to stop but the line was really long so we skipped it! If they’re out at MVMCP we’ll definitely have to stop!

Then it was off to a MNSSHP must! Haunted Mansion! Another walk on! I did notice that the tombstones to the left of the door were covered with a construction wall! Bummer!

After our ride, Jen we saved 1000th spot for you again ;), we stopped to have our picture taken! By this time the story telling ghost lady (does she have a name?! I’d love to know!) was out and having a lot of fun telling stories and poking fun at various people headed into HM!

Our picture…

Like my new hat?!

We had decided to skip the first parade and go for the hopefully less crowded 2nd parade so it was time for some trick or treating! We went back through Fantasyland and off to Alice & Mad Hatters Treat Trail!

I have to say, the CM’s don’t give as much candy when you don’t have kiddos with you! But, I’m ok with that, we don't need to eat that much candy!

By the time we were done with trick or treating it was after 8:30 so we decided to head back toward Main Street so we could catch the 8:50 Villains show!

Of course, one more photopass pic was needed!

We’d never seen the Villians show before and we both thought it was very cool, although we were surprised that it had a lot of adult type undertones!

Then we secured our spot for HalloWishes! I took a lot of pictures!! Be prepared!!

I love, love, love this fireworks show sooooo much! Music, Magic and Mayhem is still better but this is fabulous!!

After Hallowishes DH insisted that we head toward Frontierland to secure our spot for the Boo to You Halloween Parade!

We crossed the bridge to the left of the castle into Liberty Square and decided to take a spot on the wall by the Liberty Tree! It was a great spot! Soon a very nice, very pregnant lady with 3 little ones came and sat down next to us and we started talking! This was their first visit and they were having a blast!

There was another women on the other side of us a little further down, 2 women walked up to her and asked her if the space was taken. The women said she was hoping to save it for her Grandchildren. The one women huffed and audible huff and proceed to yell at the women “well, your Grandchildren are going to have to move because this is a handicapped section and we get to sit there!” The women who was sitting said absolutely nothing. The 2 women protesting the seat continued to talk very loudly and rudely about the handicapped section and this rude lady not getting up!

At that point there was absolutely no indication whatsoever that this area was handicapped and it was less then 30 minutes to the parade. The pregnant women who we had been talking to had a GAC at the recommendation of her ob-gyn so if it was a handicapped section she and her family were safe. DH and decided to move because that would allow the 2 very loud, very rude women to sit in our spot. After all, if it was a handicapped section we’d wind up moving anyway!

We bid our new friends farewell and wished them well on the rest of the vacation and with the new baby and where on our way!

We walked into Liberty Square a little bit more and wound up finding a great place with a seat on the wall in the area just before the parade turns to go over the bridge and onto Main Street!

After a little while and some talking about how entirely rude the women had been about the seats I decided to take a little stroll back in the direction of our previous seats to see if it was indeed a handicapped area. Well, it was! I’m sorry, no matter what those ladies didn’t need to be that rude! Also, Disney needs to mark the area sooner! The benches on the bridge were clearly blocked off with handicapped ropes when we crossed earlier, this area was not marked! I was glad we had moved! The rude ladies were sitting in our spots, the lady whose spot had been protested was still there. There were several other people there, including kids, one of whom was in a wheelchair! I’m guessing that she was the ladies granddaughter! I’m glad she stuck her ground and didn’t move and I’m glad she didn’t feel the need to explain herself to the very, very rude women! I hope they were ashamed of themselves or at least felt foolish for making such a seen!

The Headless Horseman came through a little after 10:30

and the rest of the parade followed soon after!

one of my favorite pictures of the trip...

The parade ended a little before 11 and we were tired so we decided to try to escape MK!

We headed through Frontierland, over Adventureland, then out and toward Crystal Palace! We snuck into Casey’s and went through the shops and out at the bottom of Main Street and out of MK! Phew!

a few last pictures..

We took our path home and soon found ourselves snug in bed resting up for a great day and DHS the next day!

First of all, glad to know my spot is still safe LOL!!! I'm not giving it up easy that is for sure!!!

Secondly...HOLY MOLY look at those amazing pictures!! YOU TOOK SOME GREAT SHOTS!!! WOW those castle pictures are amazing! I am sure I have asked this before, but what camera are you using??? SO GOOD!!!

Glad you guys had a great MNSSHP!!!!

Wowza...such great pics despite the seating drama. I love all of your pictures. In fact would love to transport myself right there rather than deal with the work drama I have. :rolleyes1

Great pictures.

Sorry about the drama at the parade. I tend to avoid parades at times, because of witnessing too many of these scenes. I'm totally there with you, I just don't understand why people insist on being so rude.

Your pictures of your night at MK are INCREDIBLE!!! :goodvibes They really, really have me wishing I was there right now!!!

:lovestruc Thanks! I totally know what you mean! That's why going to WDW is so great! You leave the really world and all the stuff behind!

Thanks!!! That scene was crazy! I really hope those ladies felt bad but I doubt it! If this wasn't a family board I'd have a few choice words...

Wow! You have so many great pictures of both the fireworks and the parade! You even have a great shot of the Headless Horseman! Absolutely awesome! Do you mind if I use some of the pictures in my trip report when I get to the fireworks and the parade, cause my pictures aren't even close. Regarding the rude people: unfortunately it doesn't suprise me when people are disrespectful of others, but I find it very sad. If you can't manage to be nice to strangers can you imagine how disrespectful they must be to those they know well?

:lovestruc Thanks!!! I'm really happy with how they came out! I really wish I was there right now too!

:lovestruc Thank you!! You're more then welcome to use my pics! I'm honored!

The rude ladies were definitely un-magical! It actually turned my stomach and turned my stomach even more when I saw the little girl in the wheelchair! Like I said in one of my previous replies, if this wasn't a family board I'd have a few choice words, words I don't normally use! I don't understand how people can think they can talk to people like that! I so glad the lady saving the spot didn't feel the need to explain herself!

First of all..........grrrrrrrrrrrrrr to those women  People never cease to amaze me with their disrespect and rudeness. And that is very, very sad. :sad2:
On to the happy stuff....:worship::worship::worship: your parade pictures! You are one of very few that has captured the Headless Horseman!! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 Love the HM dancers too....their clothes and expressions are just perfect!! :) Of course I must give a nice shout out to my kiss blowing Captain Jack. :lovestruc ;)
Beautiful Hallowishes pictures also :worship::worship: I have given up taking any kinds of pictures at the park until I force myself to by a dslr....they are all just blah....so I will take my drink and food pictures with my iPhone until then and use my underwater camera at the pool...
Great PP pictures too!! I didn't get any with my friends this trip but I think my niece and I may be going next Octoberish and she always makes me pose
