First Reservation Questions

I'm playing with the reservation website but haven't had my welcome home phone call yet so I just wanted to double check a few things in the meantime.

I can see the dates I want and have enough points but I just want to make sure it'll use my oldest points first. I'm assuming it will use the 2018 points first and won't touch 2019, correct?

Also, if I book the dates and want to change days, room category, etc am I able to modify online or do I need to call member services?

Yes, when booking, they would take 2018 points..which I assume are banked..providing your trip will take place in your 2019 UY. That is key.

And if you decide to change you can do it online. Did you buy direct? If not, I don’t believe they do a welcome home call.

We are planning to travel in late September. I was told the 2018 points would expire December 1. I assume they have been banked for us but could be wrong. They appear on my main page. I can see my available 2018 & 2019 points as soon as I log in.

We did buy direct and our phone call is scheduled for Wednesday. I was just antsy and playing with the website.
 
It sounds like you have. Dec UY which would make your Sept trip in your 2019 UY...meaning all 2018 points would be valid

If you bought direct, then they were definitely banked for you!
 

Great, thanks! I guess I’m on the right track. I just didn’t want to do anything on my end that would end up leading to losing points or something weird. I’m pretty sure I will book my own room now that I know it’ll use 2018 points first. All the conversations about walking rooms really make me nervous to get our trip booked. I will definitely still listen to the welcome home phone call and get all the information I can get though!

I do not think points are banked for you. You have to sign into your account and choose to bank points or call member services. Just because points show up as available in the UY does not mean they will not expire at the end of that UY.
