First PTR....Can't wait to get there!!!!!

I am attemping my first PTR...So please bear with me.

This is our second WDW trip and we leave in 11 day. Woopee!!!

Along on this trip will be myself Jaime, DH Shannon, DD Jaden 8 and DD Madi 4, my parents and my neice Savannah 5. I will post pics as soon as I figure out how to.

I have been planning this trip since we returned from our 1st WDW vacation in May of 2007.

I went to the store today to finish my shopping. I picked the few items that I needed. I also started packing. That means its really getting close.

Let me give a little bit of history...We never thought we could afford to vacation in WDW, until I started pricing. And then to my suprise, its within my budget...And we were off. I never been to WDW and neither had my husband. A coworker of mine has been to disney a few times and she loves it so she gave me some tips. Which really helped, but I wanted to do research of my own. I bought the Unofficial Guide to WDW. And this helped alot. I didn't find this forum til we returned from our trip. I thought I had planned well, til I started reading tips here. We orginally planned to drive, which would be about 11 hours. I didn't know how I was going to ride in a car with my two children for 11 lllllooooonnnnngggg hours!!! Our budget didn't include airfare which was expensive when we started planning. But, at the last minute, we found flights that we could not pass up. So flying we went and it was wonderful!!

Our first trip consisted of myself, DH, DD, DD, parents, DSister and DNeice. This was all our very first trip and we loved it!!!!!!! Especially myself. I am hooked. Could not wait to start planning our next trip. My DH was not so hooked at first, but I am slowly bringing him aroung.

sounds like you got some great ADR's. We did Garden Grill last year and I liked it.
It won;t be long and you will be on your way.
I know about the driving. It's like 18-20 hours from here and it takes forever and I just can't do that anymore. LOL!

Hope to start posting our plans today. Trying to get some packing done today. I'm sooo excited. I think more excited than my kids.

I'm always the most excited one in our family, though Claire is getting more into it now too.
I told her and DH yesterday about the new pirate makeover place that is opening up this summer and said we should do it next trip, and Claire asked if we could go tomorrow. LOL!

Day 1

No Breakfast Plans. Will grab something from the food court.

Off to Animal Kingdom. Plan to stay there all day. Park closes at 5pm

I will ride EE. We didn't get to do much last trip at AK. It was very hot and crowded, so we left right after lunch with plans on returning, but never returned. KRR is also on my to do list along with the Lion King show and Finding Nemo show. We did the Kilimanjaro Safari last trip, so if we don't get to it, it's no big deal. don't know if we will ride Dinosaur, I don't want to scare my kids on the first day. Also don't know about Primeval Whirl. DH gets motion sick and he will ride EE with me, so I won't push him too much. DMIL takes Ginger before she goes on cruises and this helps with her motion sickness, so he decided to start taking this also, really hopes this helps. Last trip DH rode ToT and was a little queasy afterwards, so it was me and my DSis on our own to ride the big thrill rides. This time DSis is not coming so I told DH that he had to ride with me.

We will catch It's Tough to be a Bug, it's one of my favorite shows.

Day 1 Continued:

We have ADRs for Spirit of Aloha Polynesian Luau at 8pm, so we plan to leave AK and head back to ASMu to freshen up. We will take the bus to MK and hop on the monorail to the Polynesian Resort.

After our ADR we may head over to Epcot for EMH, til Midnight, to catch a few rides. Whatever my family is up to, or they may want to head back to ASMu to swim. I am a planner, but with 3 kids, I know that we have to listen to their needs or they will be cranky and wining, which I can't handle, especially on vacation.

I also can't wait to take pictures with my new Nikon D60 that my wonderful DH gave me for Mother's Day and my Birthday combined. He is the best.

What a busy day! Whew! I was going to post day 2, but I left my Disney binder at work. I better get to bed anyways. Hopefully I can post day 2 tomorrow.

Day 2

We have breakfast ADR for CRT. DD's can't wait to see Cinderella. We didn't have breakfast in the castle last trip, we chose to to the Princess breakfast at Akershus instead. Aksherus was good, but decided to dine in the Castle for the magic of the atmosphere.

Magic Kingdom today it is. EMH this evening. I'm a little sad that Space Mountain will be closed.

A must ride at MK is Mad Tea Party. This is DD4's favorite ride. She remembers this ride from our last trip and she was only 2 then.

Another must ride is SM. This is DD8's favorite ride. We especially loved riding it at night.

Other rides that are on our list are:
BTMR
Cinderella's Carousel
IASM
Carousel of Progress - only because we didn't do this last time

We also want to see:
Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade
SpectroMagic Parade
and of course Wishes.

We may go back to the resort for a swim.

We don't have any other ADR's for today. I know that I want to eat at Cosmic Ray's once on this trip. I just love this place.

I have never done Carousel of Progress. One of these trips we must give it a try.

Day 3

We have ADR at Chef Mickey's this morning at 9am. We loved Chef Mickey's last trip. I think we loved EVERYTHING from our last trip which was our first.

Not sure which park we will visit today. Epcot might be a good choice because we have ADRs at WCC at 7:20pm. We can take the monorail to MK from Epcot and then take a boat to the WL.

MK closes at 10pm, we can always take an evening stroll down mainstreet.

Today will most probably be a lazy day.

Day 4

No Breakfast ADR's. Probably will grab breakfast in the food court.

Possible HS in the AM til early afternoon. Can't wait to ride RRC and ToT.

TSM-will get fast pass as soon as we arrive.
Beauty and the Beast show

May head back to the resort for a little rest before our dinner ADR.

Dinner ADR at Garden Grill at 6:05pm. I am planning to celebrate the girls' birthday. Dneice is in April, DD4 in May and DD8 in August. I want to get them the Mini Princess Surprise Cake. The cake comes in a princess jewelry box with a magic mirror. They will be so surprised!!!

After dinner, we may catch a few attractions at Epcot. MK has EMH till 1am, could head over for a couple of attractions. Last trip we walked onto SM a few times for EMH.

A little off topic. We received our costumes for dancing this week. DD4 posed for these. Too cute!!
