First pre trip report yee har!

Going to DLP for 4 days and 3 nights and very very very excited!!!

me 38 - late bloomer disney freak!
DH 41 - (now) long suffering OH but does enjoy it when there just the other 360 days of the year putting up with my obsession!

What Hotel

Have stayed at a few others before so felt we should stay somewhere else and booked when the 40% offer was on We or should I say I decided to go to the Hotel New York and decided we (I) would pay the extra for a lake side view Quite happy with our (my!) choice and DH agreed but then I kept looking at the various trip reports on here and was looking at the photos, I just kept thinking was it disney enough for me Then..........................................................................

I Called up and upgraded to the PINK PALACE:woohoo

Couldn't afford the castle club but am so very very very happy:yay
with our (my!) choice. Did think about surprising DH with it but so just couldn't hold it in He the rat faced toad! said he really wanted to stay at the New York so I said seriously he said yup so I said I would cancel the upgrade then, then he started laughing I should add he is very much looking forward to it
This is probably the only time we will be able to stay at the DLH thanks to the fantastic offer

We are travelling out on sunday 26th staying at the Kyriad overnight booking in to DLH 27th for the 3 nights and four days, leaving on thurs 30th travelling up to Dunkirk to sightsee and back via eurotunnel (thanks tesco!) on the friday via cite europe.

Just over a week to go so super excited now

Fantastic!

We did the same - almost HNY (we love it there) then the discounts changed and it actually worked out cheaper for us to go to the Pink Palace!

Looking forward to hearing all about it when you get back

Got home today from work and waiting on the mat was an envelope which I ripped open and inside was one of the best things I have seen in a long time

Thanks Disneymomma amd mommytoash. Could only do it this once because of the offer otherwise it would just have been a dream but hey this is where dreams come true huh

mommytoash I have read some of your trip reports Ash is so cute and love seeing her in all her different dresses, enjoy your halloween trip and look forward to reading all about it something to cheer me up post trip

Wow! Have a fantastic trip!!! I am really hoping for a stay in the pink palace one day, hopefully they will have another 50% off deal sometime in the future!!

Well this time next week we will be there

Am getting a bit jittery now though as am worried about putting our puppy in the kennels for the first time I'm sure he will be fine our cats are ok in the cattery but he is only six months old, I hasten to add our trip initially was booked before he came on the scene. He is a real sweetie and couldn't wish for a more friendly easy going wee chap so I hope he will be ok,still feel really mean though

Ok so off we go tomorrow morning

Have dropped the pup and cats off at there holiday homes, pup took one look at the kennel chap and waggled his way off with him, not a backward glance, just me blubbing my eyes out Hope the wee monkey is settling in ok, have already rung to find out but answerphone on guessing they are screening the calls

Now have a bit more of a plan. After checking into the Kyriad we are going to get the shuttle to Disney Village and have something to eat, we usually go to King Ludwigs but do like Annettes too, but think may need to try somewhere different. So contenders are The steakhouse, La Grange or Rainforest Cafe as we have never tried these. Definately would never do Planet Hollywood ever again, service and food were dreadful and Cafe Mickey, well can take it or leave it, probably better there if you have children I guess. Then after that we will have a look round the shops then get the shuttle back to the Kyriad and have a drink in the bar then bed.

Get up super early and go check into the Disneyland Hotel
Either go to Annettes or McD's for breakfast then into the parks prob disneyland 1st and ride potc, btm then haunted mansion also gonna try and get on Indiana Jones as didn't have time last trip! Probably going to eat at Blue Lagoon today always have a look at the menu but never do it as I am not keen on fish or spicey foods, but gonna dig deep as DH really wants to eat here Then after the parks close back to the hotel and cocktails in the bar

Tuesday into the studios and toy story playground and check out the rides there, see if DH and I can muster up the courage to go on TOT We usually manage this on our last day RnR is high on our list usually 3 times on the trot then we feel a bit sick going to Buffalo Bills this evening for the 9.30pm show (french offer) we saw this about 5 yrs ago so looking forward to seeing it with mickey and friends E58 total food and entertainment good deal

Weds and thurs we will probably flit between the parks but may take a trip out to La vallee shopping village, Jimmy Choo shop here I come, will probably get booted out *** of all the drool

Went to London yesterday with my mum and used my shareholders card for the 1st time So am looking forward to using that and gaining entry into Salon Mickey too Have only been going to DLP for about 8 yrs and only found out about the shareholders club this year

I am interested in doing a park tour too, will have to see if I can persude DH

Still need to finish packing and we are off at 6am in the morning, I have a rotten cold but thankfully the tail end of it now but have stocked up on cold meds just in case DH comes down with it and of course that would be soooooo much worse than mine

Will do a trip report when back, we are taking the lap top so hey you never know if I haven't had too many cocktails I may do a liveish one

Have arrived at the Kyriad and it's raining, guess ya can't have everything! Just lovely to be away.

Going to pop into Disney Village and check out where to eat tonight, have a look round the shops and sample some cocktails at a few of the hotels
