I have a trip planned for first week of Nov. I know that at the end of the week it's Super Soap Weekend and the NJ schools have a break the 5th-7th. How much are the crowds effected by the NJ break? Would it be better to plan for the second week of Nov?

Hi Lisa, from another Lisa!

We're also going in November, 6-20, and from what I've read, we'll hit SuperSoap Weekend and Jersey week both! Opinions vary, as to effects on the crowd levels, but it doesn't sound unmanageable.

Come on experts, give us some tips and advise!!!

We were there that week the last two years. If you can, I would definitely change to the second week. I work in an elementary school and, this year, I am losing a week's pay by going the first week in December....it was pretty crowded, to us, the first week in November. Have fun!:D

I have to disagree with Dopey Sharon, (no offense!) We were there last nov. 8 - 17 and the crowds were lower that our usual early March week. The first Sat. marked SS Weekend and we hit MGM. At rope drop, the crowd was the lowest for any rope drop I've seen in any park, fewer than 10 deep. We rode R'n'R and TOT several times without FP and even walked in to Millionaire. The park itself was crowded around the 'Stars', but this didn't hamper us. All week we needed FP only twice, for BTMRR and TestTrack. I've never been there for the very slowest times, but I'd do this week again in a heartbeat.

Thanks to Lisa, Sharon, and Bill for the info. re: Nov. travel. Responses seem to be 50/50 about that time for travel. I am still excited about going and don't plan on changing my dates.

Thanks again guys for the info.

Lisa

That being said, who are you traveling with, Lisa? Where are you staying? Dates?

"We" will include, me, DD (14) and DS (4). DH may come for part of the trip, but he's 'not committing' just yet, lol! He's not quite the fan that I am; the kids just roll with the punches!
We will be checking into POR on 11/6 and staying through at least the 20th, probably the 22nd. I've only stayed at All Stars in the past, so I'm looking forward to this resort. The kids and I visited it on our recent trip and I was impressed enough to book it with the comeback offer, even though we didn't have another trip planned this year.
Planning is quite fun, and I've been to WDW many times, let me know if you have questions! Maybe we'll see you there next fall!

Lisa,

We are staying 11/2-8 at Ft. Wilderness cabins. "We" include DS5(will be 6 then), BF, and myself. Last April was our (son and me)first trip to WDW. We stayed at the cabin and loved it. We had a blast. Loved it so much that I almost joined DVC on the spot. I am having a hard time waiting till Nov. to go. We didn't really plan our last trip, just rolled with it.

When did you go last? When does your son turn 5? Would be great to meet up with another disney fan.

Lisa
