We come to Disney every year in December but this year my sister is coming with us. We ususally start the trip with our first night going to WCC at the WL and then going to FW and doing the sleigh ride, then going to hotel.

I love the WL at Christmas and like to start the trip with the magic of Disney and the wonderment of Christmas too.

This year, wondering if we should do WCC with my sister.... this is the ONE and only Disney resturant she has eaten in before, but not at Christmas.

Should we keep our "normal" first night routine, or do we go visit GF gingerbread house, WL and Beach Club to see decorations (these are resturants we won't be eating) and then eat at Coral Reef or Beirgarten and catch the German "Christmas" dinner show at Beirgarten?

This will of course affect the ADR's the rest of the week - trying to decide between Coral Reef, WCC, Rose and Crown (hoping for patio to see Illuminations) for my sister to bring as much Disney magic to the trip as possible. She has not been in many years and never eaten on property anyway. Thanks!

If it were me I would stick with my normal Disney routine and just include your sister in your existing plans. I am sure she will feel the Disney magic and the spirit of Christmas no matter where your ARD's are.

I love your Christmas tradition of visiting WL and FW!! Especially with their great Christmas decorations. And eating at WCC would fit in with your plans so well.:santa::

I vote to stick with this plan. Even tho she's eaten there before, the atmosphere at Christmas will make it special.

I also vote to keep your Coral Reef and Biergarten plans, but eat there on a day you plan to spend at Epcot. Makes things so much easier, given the Christmas crowds. (of course this doesn't apply if you're staying at a Boardwalk hotel):)

Thanks!

We may not be able to do the sleigh unless we book 2 b.c we have 3 adults and 3 children....

We love going the WL but WCC is not a must for dinner for us although we do enjoy the food.

I DO need to elminate one though - WCC, Beirgarten or Coral Reef. My family has never eaten at Beirgarten before and I think at Christmas this would be a fun, new place to try. My sister is huge beach person so I thougt Coral Reef might be nice for her.... that is why thinking might elminate WCC and just go to some of the deluxe hotels to see decorations on first night and maybe eat elsewhere.... but still torn.

Going to WL to see decorations, eating at WCC and then going to FW is a great way to start the trip!! Decision, decisions.....

Oh, forgot al about Rose and Crown option with hopes to see Illuminations....

Oh my!

Stick with your routine...otherwise you might regret it and start off on a sour note. Just because she ate there before doesn't mean that it wouldn't be a good place to go. At least it will be a little familiar to her before you hit new restaurants later!

THanks -

yes we do love this first night, but have done it more than once so one thing we love about Disney too is making the trip seem "new" each time we go by changing it up a bit too, so not determined to keep this our first night either....

Sorry for all the scenarios.... that is why I am confused! :lmao:
