Hello everyone!

There will be eight of us going down in June (5 adults and 3 kids)
We're staying at the Swan & Yacht Club. We all won't have tickets for our first night there.

The question is, where do you suggest that we have dinner that evening?

Thanks for the replies

We ate at 'Ohana in the Polynesian Resort. It was good, and they have coconut races for the kids. There is a view of Cinderella's Castle, but we couldn't really see it. A lot of people on these boards like Chef Mickey's for the first night. I called about 50 days before and couldn't get a PS. I believe either the Yacht Club or Beach Club has a clambake that gets good reviews. Depending on what type of food you want, the hotels have almost everything and you can ride the monorail without park admittance to Poly, GF, or Cont. Check out the menus and have fun.

I'd try and get to Rainforest Cafe around 4:00 or 5:00, have dinner around those times then spend the night in DTD.

They tend to get good 45 to 60 minute wait after 5:00. ALways good food and atmosphere (like all Rainforest Cafes). Then you can do some shopping or even do Disney Quest.

The coconut races ar for kids. They give them small brooms and they have to roll the coconuts around the restaurant! It is fun to watch.

Since you are at the YC, I would head over to the Boardwalk. There are some wonderful sitdown places (Spoodles or Flying Fish) and some pub=type places. You could stroll the walkway and relax.

Early to bed so the next day you can really enjoy the parks!
