First Night Dinner?

We're coming in a day early and spending the night at Pop before moving to CBR for real vacation . . . Any suggestions for dinner the first night--not in a park and not Chef Mickeys (We're going to breakfast later in the week). Kind of low key because we'll be traveling . . .

We're doing the same thing--spending a night at POP before moving to POFQ on our package. We're planning on the POP food court. That's actually the main reason we're staying there the first night (dd has been begging for another shot at the tie dyed cheesecake).

Our traditional first night dinner is always Boma. First night, then again towards the end of the trip (it's our fave).

But this year, we booked Cap'n Jacks at DTD for (what was supposed to be) our first night. (Then Southwest messed with their schedule, and we added the extra day at the beginning.)

Really, if you'll only be at POP for the one night, I'd probably do their food court. It has some rather famous dishes (chicken pasta alfredo comes to mind), they have some unique items (tie dyed cheesecake and bread), and they're one of the only (if not the only) resort food court to offer frozen coke drinks (like slushies).

You could go to DTD and see what moves you (lots of choices). If it's a weeknight, the crowds might not be so bad. If the crowds are heavy and lines are long, catch the boat from DTD to Saratoga and have a bite at The Turf Club. Good food and you could sit out on the patio if it's nice. Just watch your time as I think they close at 9.

We also like to do Boma on the first night--we like to walk around the resort after dinner, see the animals and such before we had back to the hotel for a evening swim.

The food at POP is very good , maybe try eating there.

I can't wait to eat at the POP my first night. I have been craving their Chicken Penne Alfredo w/Breadstick!!!! TO DIE FOR!
