First Night Dinner: Ohana or CM?

We've been to CM before but the kids don't really remember it so it would be like a new experience for them. What exactly is the kids entertainment & games at Ohanas?

We were at 'Ohana a couple weeks ago. We were out of the way of the entertainment, but I remember the kids going around in a little conga-type line singing and playing instruments. They also did some sort of races in the restaurant, but we didn't see, only heard.

There is a woman on a microphone who sings songs with a ukelele and gathers kids to play games and parade around the restaurant with maracas.

A lot of kids were enjoying it when we went. It is a bit loud and obnoxious though in my opinion. My 4 year old gets easily overstimulated and was hiding under the table from all the noise. He can be quite the exception so I would say that if you don't mind it being a little loud it would be a great way to celebrate your arrival.

I've never been to CM to compare. I would say that if you are looking for a quieter more relaxing meal Ohana's isn't the way to go.

They're both a blast. Either one is great. We always do Chef Mickey's that first night though because we get in rather late, don't get to a park and want some of the Mickey Characters to start with.

My boys thought they were too old for the games, but my 4 year old DD had a blast. She marched around the restaurant with mariachis, did the limbo, had a coconut race, and could have hula danced except she was using the bathroom when that happened. The kids also sang "Happy Anniversary" to someone celebrating some anniversary, too. It's fun to go there, and the food is better than CM.
