On our first night, it's a tradition to go to Chef Mickey's, and then go to MK to see Spectro and Wishes. We got a 5:30 ADR for Chef Mickey's. Wishes is at 9:00, and Spectro is at 8:00 and 10:00. Will we be rushed getting to MK, or is it just me? We aren't big on staying up late, but we aren't big on being rushed, either. Whis is our best option?

-Chef Mickey's at 5:30
-Spectro at 8:00
-Wishes at 9:00
OR
-Chef Mickey's 5:30
-Wishes at 9:00
-Spectro at 10:00

I dont really know but I know I am going to CM for breakfest and have 7:20 AM reservations and I plan to be a MK for opening.

Assuming you get into Chef Mickey's around your ADR time you should be fine for CM and then Spectro at 8 and Wishes at 9.

I would do it that way and then call it a night; however if for some reason your dinner runs late you will be fine doing Wishes first and then Spectro.

Have fun!

yeah i don't see a problem here. EVen if the monorail breaks down and you have to walk it You would still probably make it with plenty of time.

Hey- that sounds like our first night! ;)

I think last year our ADR was for 5:30 and when we arrived at CM around 5:25, there was a long line at the podium so we didn't get seated until around 5:45.

Not a big wait but we finished dinner in about an hour and made it back to the MK by a little after 7. I thought that would be plenty of time to get a curb side seat for the 8:00 Spectro but no way- it was packed. We decided to skip Spectro and just hit Wishes at 9:00. There wasn't a 10:00 Spectro that night so we just caught it later in the week.

Since you have the flexibility, I'd not stress about rushing dinner and just assess things when you arrive back at the MK to see if it works for an 8:00 Spectro show or not.

You didn't mention what time of year you are going and that will make a difference in how early you might need to get spot for Spectro. We go in October so there are only a few Spectro shows a week, not every night so the nights they have Spectro- it is ususally just one show so it is crowded.

Anyway, thought I would share my experience since it is exactly what we do on our first night.

This year, our ADR is for 5:00 and I plan on getting there at least 15 min early so we are out of CM by 6:30 at the latest without feeling rushed...I hope!

Have fun!

We're going February 20-26, but...

(Please, please don't flame me for this. This may sound like I'm taking advantage of this privelage, but it's just a fact. Sorry!)

it doesn't matter very much, because my mother uses a wheelchair, and we use the handicapped seating section. Last time we went (same night) it had plenty of space until maybe about 10-15 minutes before Spectro when they let non-handicapped people in.

well this is one of the least crowded times of the year you shouldn't have a problem.

I've looked at your plan and can't see a thing wrong with it. Should be a fun evening.

Enjoy.
