Good morning Disers!
We arrived yesterday and have spent our first night at the Doubletree ( we will be here a total of 4 nights and will be moving on to CBR).
So far I can give this place 4 stars!!
Pros:
I love the suite idea! So much more spacious than the Pop for less money. Come on. There is a pull out couch and armchair with a flat screen tv.
The bedroom has two double beds, a chest of five spacious draws, a dressing table with huge mirror, a big closet with mirrored doors and a flat screen television.
The bathroom is large with a huge mirror and the towels are huge and fluffy!
The beds are super comfy and the pillows are fluffy. I guess that could be a minus for some.
There is one huge window in each room with blackout curtains.
The pool was smaller than the Pop pools but there was hardly anyone there so that was fine. The lounge chairs were beautiful.
The hot tub was lots of fun. First time for me. There were lots of large towels provided by the pool and they had to be returned before going up to your room.
The hotel staff are warm and friendly.
The cookie was good!
The kitchenette is a total plus. We have a fridge, microwave and sink with a counter. There is no cupboard space though. (I don't know how this part got down here but I'm no going to try and figure out how to fix it. Sorry guys. )
Now for the cons:
We pulled out the sofa to see what the bed was like and there was a huge stain on the bottom of the mattress! Once we could visualize that, we stopped pulling out the couch so there are no more details to provide on that.
The room was freezing cold. I do not know what the setting was but my husband turned it off completely and it feels perfect in here. We were still able to sleep under blankets.
That's all for now. We are going out later. Just laying in bed letting musket wake up. Will give more reviews later on the shuttle and such as we have not used it.
