I dont land in Orlando on the 2nd Dec until 20:25 & Im not sure how long it will take me to get through customs ect. My roomie isnt coming to Orlando until the next day so Im wondering what to do on my first night?

I was thinking of staying at a hotel near Beltz (SP?) so that i could do some shopping before I meet up with Robin the next day (pm) or maybe staying at the Sheraton lakeside as 1. Ive stayed there before so I know the layout and the food is ok on site. 2. theres a shop over the road that sells dkny ect so I could maybe shop there instead.

Shopping is a big part of this trip, as i can shop without restictions (DH is staying at home:D )

Do you think that people will still be out playing at that time if I was to book into a Disney resort? If thats the case I dont want to miss a thing, I could always shop on my last day the 9th as my flight home isnt until about 4pm.

Please help as Im really not sure what to do.

Thanks

Emma

I'd try to get a room for 1 night at one of the All-Stars. People will be there before DIS-CON, and you don't want to miss out. It's also possible that one of the Downtown Disney hotels will offer a GREAT deal like they did this past year during DIS-CON.

That's a tough call, but I like NancyIL's answer.

So, you're flight will arrive at 2025 or 8:20 P.M. that late evening, assuming that your flght will be on time or not late.

Then get your luggage, 35-45 minute trip to WDW and your resort. You may not get settled in until 10:00 P.M..

I don't know?

But thank goodness you have plenty of time to think about it.

Good luck, and we'll all keep thinking about it.

Ray :)

Hi Emma,
I have no doubt that there will be "DIS Con people doin' stuff" at that time of night!:D
(well, except maybe Dayna....she's an early bird, not a night owl! )

Of course it's up to you, but I 'm pretty sure that most of us will be there already and doing our "Convention" thing!!!!:jester:
Nancy and Ray's idea sounds good to me (room at All Stars)!!!!

Hi Emma,

It always takes me about 2 hours to get through customs and to the hotel (using Mears). So you will probably arrive around 10.30.
I will be at All Star Music (arr. November 29). Should you decide to stay at WDW the first night, you're welcome to say with me......

That is so nice of you Sandra, and I'm not the least be surprised. Sandra is one of the many, very kind and sweet DISers that you will meet at DIS-CON-II.

And boy, can she sing. The voice of angel.

Sincerely, Ray :)

Sandra, that is so sweet of you. :) And Emma, most of us can vouch that Sandra is not a 'cyber psycho' LOL :D She is 100% wonderful. :)

And I agree, there will be DIS'ers everywhere doing everything imaginable :earseek: so I think you'll want to be at a DISney resort and be ready to rock and roll early in the morning on the 3rd. :D

Thank You Sandra, thats a wonderful offer. I just dont know what to do right now as I NEED to fit in a shopping trip somewhere during my stay...but then i miss DISCON time...ooohhhh:confused:

Emma

Well, maybe we should have a mini meet at Belz - DISCON and shopping all at one time:D
Although I'm not sure the people at Belz would be thrilled when a big group of loud, giggling DIS'ers take over their shopping mall!!!:D :D :D
