First MVMCP was last night, anyone have a report?

I posted the show times on a previous thread.

My 4 and 5 year old stayed up till midnight. After a 2 hour nap we got to the park at 5:45. We saw the wishes show at 6. We ran to grab burgers and hit the first twas show at 7. After that show we had free dibs on all the rides. NO LINES AT ALL. My kids loved it. We caught the fireworks at 9:45 and Yes they were all around you. My kids wanted to see the second parade at 10:45. We missed the first parade because we were so happy of 0 lines. We stayed and watched it from the beginning of the route. Right when it passed us we darted for the door. We cought the monarail and were offered the drivers postion. The driver gave us baloons upon exit. What a perfect ending for my kids.

My legs, my wifes legs are killing today. Thats why I am typing this from our room so early! We are done for the night.

Regrading the pins- do the ysell out each night as they are released or are ther any leftover subsequent nights?

We attended the party last night. Main Street looked great with the snowflakes and snow! The fireworks were awesome for the party. Hot chocolate and cookies. My dd enjoyed the dance party. (Fantasyland had Pinnochio characters and Cosmic Rays had Pluto and Chip & Dale). Parade was good and really kicked of the holiday season.
We left about 10:30 due to the fact we were all so tired.

Regrading the pins- do the ysell out each night as they are released or are ther any leftover subsequent nights?

If there are any left over from previous nights they are sold during the subsequent parties at Uptown Jewelers. It seems like there are usually a good number left over from the middle parties, but the early parties seem to go fairly quickly. Not sure how that's going to play out with the parties starting so early this year and with pins being produced in lower numbers this year (1700 of each as opposed to 2500 last year).

I don't like the pin for my night either. But I still want the AP pin and the jumbo pin.

I wonder if I should try to get another pin for the Xmas party, but it won't be the one for the date I was there. I have issues

the characters were just dancing. i didn't notice any signing autographs and doin' pics. i didn't see the "popular" ones dancing, but they may have been.

we got there a little after 4:00pm and got our wristbands at the gate. there was a special gate over on the right. an announcement informed others that didn't buy separate ticket that the park closed at 7pm. we were asked to show our wristbands on every ride after 7pm until the park was cleared. there were men holding lit snowmen and that indicated that section of the park was clear on non-party guests.

i'm sorry i didn't really look @ the merchandise, but there were 7 spots marked on the map to buy special event merchandise.

Normally they do sell sweatshirts or t-shirts for the MVMCP, last year they also had picture frames and plush. Obviously a lot of pins show up on eBay if you can't get them at Uptown...

Which counter service places were open? We're not sure how early we'll get there but my sister wants to eat at the Harbour House. And everyone will need a light dinner. (We'll probably go over between 5-6.)

I don't like mine either. I guess I should be grateful that it's not a Stitch pin (12/5), but it's Goofy (12/12), who (no offense to Goofy lovers) is not my favorite character. I'll still buy one though. I'm SO jealous of 11/28!!! That Tinkerbelle pin is awesome! I'm oddly drawn to Tink and castle pins. Maybe that's why I like the 12/21 pin so much, too.

What are the chances that a pin will be around almost 2 weeks later?

For some reason I kept thinking our tickets were for the 5th and it would have been the stitch pin which I don't really like I just realized our tickets are for the 4th so it will be the mickey pin I guess I have to wait in line with all the others now. Do the lines get really long for buying the special pin? Are they on shelves or do you have to ask for them?
