My mom and I are going to Disney World May 4th-9th. Although we have been to disney together before, we've never been just the two of us and she hasn't been in 4 years. I'm turning 22 while we are there (05/05) and her birthday is the following week so we are hoping to do something special. Any suggestions would be great! (We are staying at Caribbean Beach and have 3 day park hopper tickets)

Definitely get the birthday pins and the magic will follow you the whole time! :goodvibes

Have at least one nice dinner - tons of signature restaurants to choose from. Also don't rule out a character meal just because you're adults! I love poking around the various resorts and getting a feel for what they offer, their style, etc. You could visit lounges for a drink and small plates and spend some time relaxing together.

Maybe consider a spa day? There are services at a lot of different levels and it would be a nice "girls" experience.
One of the many backstage tours is a fun option. I haven't done any because my daughter is only 9, but I look forward to them as a new, more adult experience.

My mom and I went to GF for the Mary Poppins breakfast. (Mary Poppins is my mom's favorite!)

Also, consider traveling "Around the World" in EC and sampling snacks and drinks from each country. It's fun to sample the different foods and drinks. But be careful! We started in Norway and were full from the bakery before we left that country!

My DD16 & I went on a mother daughter trip to celebrate her Sweet 16. We had a great time!! We each did the Pick a Pearl in Japan at Epcot. We ended up with matching necklaces!

We were also going to get matching henna tattoos in Morocco, but we ran out of time. Maybe next year!!

We did the Best Friends Breakfast at Ohana's.

She took lots of selfies of us in front of each park icon. I had them printed in a collage photo.

I made reservations for afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian for my mom and I for our next trip. We won't be there for Mother's Day (we are going the following weekend, though), so it is going to be part of her Mother's Day present. I'm excited. I thought it was a pretty cool thing for my mom and I to do! :goodvibes

I have taken tea at the GF Garden View Tea lounge several times and the little Princesses that I have taken have LOVED it!! It was so very special and it was beautiful. You can also order the Chocolate Slipper dessert. I did this for my great niece as a surprise at the end of one of our dinners and it was perfect, she was so surprised. They wrote on the plate, Happy Birthday and her name, the picture I got was memorable.

If you ask for two birthday pins, (one for you and your Mom) and Disney makes sure that you have a wonderful Disney experience! I'm not going to mention any surprises..... ;) :)

My mum and I really enjoy the Grand Floridian afternoon tea as well! Last trip we rented a Sea Raycer afterwards and it was such a fun experience!

You might consider going to the Pick a Pearl place in Japan and getting pearls and having them made into necklaces. I did this with my daughters on our first trip, and it's so nice to have a keepsake we'll be able to fondly remember our trip with every time we wear them.
