We are arriving at 11:30 so by the time we catch the Magic Express, get to our place and settle in we will be ready for a nice first night dinner. We are staying at Bay Lake and I am a pretty picky eater. I like pretty basic stuff, nothing fancy and absolutely no seafood. We have annual passes so we can go anywhere. Where would you suggest?

For our first meal, I'm thinking about Whispering Canyon Café at Wilderness Lodge. It looks like a lot of fun and, if you like BBQ, the food sounds excellent! Perfect way to get the vacation started, I'd say!:cool1:

Our first meal was 1900 Park Fare. I couldnt have asked for a better first meal for my daughters first trip. What is a better way to start your 1st Disney trip than eating with Cinderella & Prince Charming!

For our first night, we always like eating at Chef Mickey's. It's such a fun way to start the trip off with Mickey and everyone.

Ohana is our favorite way to kick off our vacation!

IMO, I always feel that a good character meal is the best way to kick off (and finish up) a trip. My girlfriend and I personally like to do Garden Grill on the first night. The food is nothing special but the character interaction is great and we find that it is the quietest and most relaxed of the character meals (which is nice after a day of traveling and whatnot).

We kicked off our last trip by going to Hoop Dee Doo, and it was a lot of fun! We loved being able to relax and enjoy the dinner and show after a long drive. We were able to catch the MK fireworks from the boat to MK after the show, too.

We did the same thing our last trip. The kids requested that we do it again the first night, so that may become our traditional Disney first night dinner.

We did Ohana for the First meal....It was GREAT. We had a table right next to the window so we could see the castle!

We always go to the Magic Kingdom our first day, so dinner is usually at one of the hotels on the monorail. The Kona Café, or the Grand Floridian Café might be nice for you. Although if I was staying at Bay Lake Tower, I might take the opportunity to check out the Top of the World Lounge and have some flatbreads for dinner.

Well looks like a change of plans. While we were waiting for my IL's to give us the OK to book the trip (they are watching the kids) BLT is no longer available. So we are at Saratoga. Still not a problem to go anywhere though as we still have AP's.
Thanks for all the ideas. I am going to check out the menus!
