First major news event

so I realized tonight that if Katrina is as devastating as expected that this will be the first MAJOR around the clock news event since December when the tsunami hit

and since then all 3 news anchors have left their jobs!

I think it will be a little wierd to watch coverage without Tom, Peter & Dan = they have been my eyes to the world my entire life!!!

I will never forget Dan Rather doing news coverage of (I think it was Ivan) and hanging on to a lamp post for dear life - I really thought the man was going to blow away!!!

No one will ever be able to replace them!!

I miss Peter also. He was very soothing during the bad times. It will be extra strange come election time. He was the only one that could get me through the wee hours without falling asleep! God bless him.
