First full week of March-crowd predictions?

Anyone been the first full week of March before? I'm thinking it may be before most schools get out for spring break...yes? No?

Anyone have an app w/ crowd predictor want to check for me? it would be March 4-10

My husband and I went in 2010 for our 10 year anniversery that first week of March. Crowds were easy we barely waited for anything. BUT I FROZE! It was sunny but windy and cold. I would have been much happier in a baseball cap, jeans, sneakers and hoodie! But instead I had t-shirts capris and flip flops! Just a heads up! I didn't stay the whole time I got really sick while we were there and we came home about a day early. I hope that helps a little!

We've been the first week of March before - but it's been 3 years. It is a little cooler, mostly in the mornings and evenings and we did carry sweatshirts around.

Crowds were low for us - they did pick up near the end of the week - starting about Thursday evening. Not bad, or anything, but just a little busier. There are a LOT of high school and middle school groups - bands, choirs, and other performing groups that are there around that time.

We are going again the first full week of March - the 5-11th. Our DS 15 will be performing with his school choir and band on Friday or Saturday (can't remember).

You are likely to see family groups related to the kids performing at the time and will probably see more people in the stage area at the end of Main St at the Plaza Gardens place than you've ever seen before.

Thanks for the info! This means that 3 of our 5 days will be good. The other 2 (Friday and Saturday 9 and 10th) will be busier - but we'll just be doing our favorites/must rides by then - so who cares!

Would you mind terribly looking up March 11-15? We're planning on arriving the 9th, so it's nice to know that one day should be TOO bad. Seeing as we're going there during our Spring Break, I imagine it will be busy. But as college students, we don't have much choice in our dates.

Thanks so much for checking those days for me! Unfortunately, we're stuck with those dates due to our class schedules. We'll make the best of it. After all, it'll be my first trip to Disneyland! How could it not be magical?

Do you think it will be less busy in April because Easter is earlier? We are deciding between March and April too? I would rather go in April. If the last weeks of March are so busy. But I could go the first week of March because it's our wedding Anniversary week too and the numbers are so low. But I am a little afraid of the weather with my 5 girls. I don't want to listen to the whining. I'm not gonna lie. Are March and April fireworks and late night months too?

The first full week of March will probably be shorter hours - 10 am to 8 pm. The hours will probably get progressively longer as the month wears on. Fireworks and F! will most likely be on the weekends only at the beginning of March. I haven't experienced WOC, yet, so I don't know if those shows will continue to be daily. If it's anything like Sept. then WOC will at least be shown once a day. I hope it's showing once a day and not just on the weekends. I would like to see it - but, it's a huge time eater to me and I want to see the other stuff, too.

I don't mind shorter hours, especially for this trip since DH will be in class 1 of the 3 days and I'll be on my own with the 3 kids (am I crazy?).

We'll be there on a Friday, so fireworks etc. can be done that day.


This trip may actually happen! I can't even believe it!

Started a different thread about when spring break is. So far, there are two pages of responses and just about everyone's is linked to Easter in April. I am hoping the crowd rating that was posted on this thread was from when Easter landed in March a few years ago. We are going March 8-11 and are hoping since we are a month away from Easter, it won't be crazy crowded yet!!

I think that the crowd rating was taking into account the college spring breaks. There is about 5-6 weeks that it is rated fairly high almost through the entire time with a few days that drop but nothing below a 6 in that time.
