Hope that's it.Maybe they just haven't updated. Josh's calendar shows 7's & 8's for June.

Because everyone who considers themselves "in the know" about WDW crowds (this is almost everyone who has ever looked at a crowd calendar online) has read online that early June is better, in terms of both crowds and weather, than the rest of summer. They're read about July's South American tour groups and want to avoid that, as well. So they all try to go in early June as soon as their kids are out of school. So early June becomes very crowded and more expensive than the rest of summer. This is the Internet effect, and is likely similar to what happened to autumn crowds over the past few years.
Pretty soon the 4th of July is going to be the only time a family can go to Disney World and get a break from the crowds...lol. This is another reason I don't like crowd calendars, this and the fact that they rarely work.
Summer crowds
LOL. Thanks
Have no fear, the later weeks will certainly not be 5s and 4s...
Last year about this time Touring Plans increased their predicted crowd levels, if Im not mistaken from some 6 and 7s to mostly 9's across the board for the beginning of June.
This is our week as well! My DD8's last day of school is June 3rd- we are Northern PA. We are coming June 5th- 11th. I'm aware it's going to be crowded but we are low expectation people just happy to be at Disney! We have a plan and are rope drop people so I'm anticipating a great vacation despite the predicted crowd levels.
My guess is the weeks after will also increase. We went September of 2015 and the calendar showed 1/2/3s then they bumped to 5/6s about a month before. I went June of 2014 and honestly didn't see that great of a difference between first full week of June and Labor Day week in September.
Thank you for the encouragement, that makes me feel better. I've planned as well as I can, we will also do rope drop and take a break in the afternoon, and I just booked the early morning in Fantasyland so maybe that will help.
Any advice on how to handle the crowds for the parade and wishes? I had the dessert party booked but after I read that they are no longer assigning tables and you would need to miss the parade to get in line I canceled it.
My daughter has her heart set on the parade, castle show , tinker bell and wishes so where would you suggest we sit and how early should we get there to claim our spot?
I hope your trip is wonderful as well!
If Wishes is an hour after the Main Street Electrical parade, this approach has worked well for us. Watch the parade from somewhere in the town square area. The parade starts there and goes up Main Street, around the hub and into Frontierland. When the end of the parade goes by, step into the street right behind it and follow it up Main Street. Lots of people do this. Since Main Street obviously has to be cleared for the parade, you can walk up Main Street into the hub as far as you want to, and then stop when you get to the spot where you want to watch the castle show and Wishes (and tinkerbelle). If the parade starts at 9 PM, for instance, the last float will come into the town square around 9:20. The castle show would start at 9:45 if Wishes is at 10, so you wouldn't have to stand and wait all that long.
It will be fine. It is start of summer. Many Northeast schools are not out. I think we get out on june 23rd.
We are from the south and ours always get out end of May, but sometimes I wish they would get out later. like yours, and not start back up until after Labor Day. Since we get out earlier we go back earlier, and I hate that. 3rd week of August usuallyMy children don't get out of school until June 22nd![]()
One item to consider regarding 1st week of June is snow days in the north.
A lot of school calendars were not extended due to lack of snow days making a 1st week of June vacation more possible.
This sounds like a good plan! How early do you suggest getting to town square to get a spot? Any benches or do you just sit on the curb?
This . .I've always thought that crowd calendars are pretty crazy. If something says that this is a low crowd time .wouldn't everyone try and go during that time (thus making it no longer a low-crowd time?) .. That plus Disney events (like marathons/parties) and discounts make the summer seem like it would be a lower crowd time (who wants to go to WDW in that heat and humidity?).Because everyone who considers themselves "in the know" about WDW crowds (this is almost everyone who has ever looked at a crowd calendar online) has read online that early June is better, in terms of both crowds and weather, than the rest of summer.
