Any idea why the touring plans crowd calendar shows such a spike in the crowds for the week of June 5th?
The week before is showing mostly 5's and 6's. The last three weeks in June show 6 and 7's, even some 4's.
But my week of June 5-11 looks like it's on fire it's so red! The whole week is mostly 8 and 9.
It's making me really nervous, help?!

Schools start letting out.

This is the week that we go almost every year.
In the midwest, it's the first full week of summer vacation. Probably true in other areas too.
It's true, it's going to be crowded, but if you go in with a plan, you'll do fine and still have a great time. We've only waited more than twenty minutes for anything twice.
Now, that being said, we're "rope drop" people, we take an afternoon break, and save our advanced fastpasses for the evening. If you sleep in, ignore the park recommendations, and go without a plan, you might be disappointed.

It just continually gets more crowded as you head toward the 4th of July. All in all, Early June is still a great time to go. The parks will extend their hours when the time comes, and all of the rides should be working at full capacity. We always have a great time. I hope you do too!

Thats when we are going 4-12th
we wanted to avoid memorial day, up north we are still in school but much of the midwest and south are getting out I beleive

Yes, that would explain the higher attendance that week but why is that week so isolated?
Schools continue to let out progressively throughout June but those numbers are lower.

Maybe they just haven't updated. Josh's calendar shows 7's & 8's for June.

This is our week as well! My DD8's last day of school is June 3rd- we are Northern PA. We are coming June 5th- 11th. I'm aware it's going to be crowded but we are low expectation people just happy to be at Disney! We have a plan and are rope drop people so I'm anticipating a great vacation despite the predicted crowd levels.

It can be quite a few people. However, many of the guest coming in for gay days tend to spread out among the other areas in Orlando, like Sea World and universal. I would guess the most crowded day in any of the parks would be Saturday in Magic Kingdom. So, to avoid crowds I would definitely do a different park on that day. On the main Walt Disney World page, click on the tab that says events. There will be more info there.

Because everyone who considers themselves "in the know" about WDW crowds (this is almost everyone who has ever looked at a crowd calendar online) has read online that early June is better, in terms of both crowds and weather, than the rest of summer. They're read about July's South American tour groups and want to avoid that, as well. So they all try to go in early June as soon as their kids are out of school. So early June becomes very crowded and more expensive than the rest of summer. This is the Internet effect, and is likely similar to what happened to autumn crowds over the past few years.

Pretty soon the 4th of July is going to be the only time a family can go to Disney World and get a break from the crowds...lol. This is another reason I don't like crowd calendars, this and the fact that they rarely work.

how much volume does this ad?
If you just avoid the park they have scheduled you shouldnt have to much trouble with crowds

Last year about this time Touring Plans increased their predicted crowd levels, if Im not mistaken from some 6 and 7s to mostly 9's across the board for the beginning of June.

My guess is the weeks after will also increase. We went September of 2015 and the calendar showed 1/2/3s then they bumped to 5/6s about a month before. I went June of 2014 and honestly didn't see that great of a difference between first full week of June and Labor Day week in September.

Thank you for the encouragement, that makes me feel better. I've planned as well as I can, we will also do rope drop and take a break in the afternoon, and I just booked the early morning in Fantasyland so maybe that will help.

Any advice on how to handle the crowds for the parade and wishes? I had the dessert party booked but after I read that they are no longer assigning tables and you would need to miss the parade to get in line I canceled it.
My daughter has her heart set on the parade, castle show , tinker bell and wishes so where would you suggest we sit and how early should we get there to claim our spot?
I hope your trip is wonderful as well!
