im going to be at MK on EMH morning and i am wondering when do they start giving out fast passes. thinking i can grab a FP for philarmagic while doing the rest of fantasyland then wont have to wait when i go back if park has already opened. im thinking they dont start giving them till after it gets really busy though, any ideas?

I think generally speaking if the ride/attraction is open then you can get an FP - the return time will be for after the start of the EMH time period (i.e. 9am and later if EMH start is 8am)

We do this with a ride like Winnie the Pooh where we want to go at least twice - get FP during EMH, ride during EMH and then repeat later in the morning with the FP

cheers

Fastpasses for shows have proven to be a waste for me. The next show starts when in starts and everyone goes in at the same time regardless of whether or not you have a FP. :thumbsup2

ITA. Pooh and Peter Pan are always a hot ticket. I have been there a few times right after park opening (around 9am) to see wait times of 30 minutes or more for Pooh and Pan.

oh good point thanks for the advice. im trying to knock out all of fantasyland early becuase i am taking a first timer. dont want them to miss anything!! we will def. go for FP peterpan and pooh. :)

I agree with the above posters. Grab FP for the rides first. We were able to see Mickey's Philharmagic last June with about six other people. You can get a lot done in a few hours if you get to the park before opening. The really big crowds don't normally arrive until later in the morning. A lot of people don't like getting up and out early so the morning EMH is ususally really good.

I agree! Go for Pooh or Peter Pan for the fastpass.

When you get your fastpass, the return time for the attraction will be on there. You might want to grab that fast pass as soon as you hit Fantasyland, ride everything and see Philharmagic, and then do that fastpass attraction. That'll probably mesh with the return time.

Fastpasses are great!

Just a suggestion from our own experience, since you are bringing a first timer... do you plan on doing Space Mountain?

Last year we went to MK for opening. We walked to Space Mountain first and grabbed a Fastpass for that. THEN we went to Fantasyland. It was about a 5-minute detour for us. We hit Pooh and Pan first, and were still able to walk on. By the time we had done 2 or 3 more rides, Pooh and Pan were already backing up to 25 minute waits! But we didn't have to waste FP for those, plus we had a guaranteed ride on Space Mountain. We still had enough time before the FP kicked in to do some other rides.
