First Family Vacation 5/4-5/11

This is our first family vacation.
The night before day 1 and part of day 1.


I come home from work. My mom has already picked up the kids at daycare. I go to my house with my lilst of things NOT TO FORGET TO PACK. I call my best friend (3princess and a Prince) cause I am a nervous reck. I go down my list one by one crossing them off and pulling all the suitcases, carryons in the kitchen near the door. Everything is pack from the list, head to the dollar store to get hair elestics for dd 2 hair. ( for some reason could not find any in the house) I also pick up some bobbypins and a shoe organizer for my bathroom that I packed (thanks to dis).

I get to my moms house and unload my car. My mom goes get the bathroom scale because the girls suitcase is big and heavy. We can not see how much it weights due to it is to big for the scale. the kids go to bed I am on the DIS to soak up any more info that I can before I leave.


I am laying in my dd 6 bed, both girls are sharing dd 2 bed (cause there is no way that I can sleep with another person in a twin bed.) I forgot to pack my contacts and glasses. How can I forget to pack my eyes I am going to disney to see the mouse. So now i can not sleep cause I don't want to get up late and not have time to get them from my house which is about two streets away. I finally fall asleep cause my mom woke me up at 5:00.
I run to my house to get my eyes and back to my house to wake up the girls and get them dressed.


My grandmother comes to the house.( she came on the plane with but went stay with family until the last day) Our ride arrives right on time at 5:30 we pack all the suitcases in the back and take off. We get to the airport and there is this lane in front of the southwest sign. so we are in line. We have five suitcase on wheels, five carryons, and a carriage. I have my dd 6 pulling two of the suitcases. I have my carryon, dd6, laptop, and pushing the carriage with dd 2 in it and my mom and Granny has the rest. It is finally our turn and thank the lord for curb side check in. We go through secruity and everyone get through fine except for granny she is beeping. So they wanded her and of course she did not empty her pockets. She had her old lady change purse in her pocket. We finally get to the gate and wait.

Mom and Granny go off to the store across from the gate to look around. I am sitting with the kids watching the suitcases being drive around. All of sound I feel a migraine coming on. ( I get them bad were I have to sleep, and throw up to get rid of them) So I send dd 6 to the store to tell mom to get water so i can take my pill. DD 6 comes back and we wait. It was probably five mintues but in migraine time it was like 5 hours and now I am hot and sweating cause im nervous i am going to have a migraine on the plane and what am i going to do. Mom finally comes back with water. She went to another store to get cold water. take the pill and just sit to relax.

We finanlly board the plane-preboard due to kids 5 and under. Plane ride went really good. Everyone ears are good. Until we have to put our sit belts back on. dd 2 refused. I mean on the floor crying like someone is killing her. I pick her up and she slithers out of the chair on to the floor again this goes on for about five minutes and now we are starting to land so I am getting nervous cause she will not sit down and I brided her with everything i had and nothing work. The very nice flight attentend came over and talked to her and she finally st in the chair to be buckled.

the rest of day 1 will come tomorrow. Kids are in bed time to watch all my shows that I tivo. Sorry so long and to think I was not going to do a trip report.

Here is the rest of Day 1.

We get off the plane and look for baggage claim, not for us but for Granny to get her suitcase. We follow the signs and then read to see what turn cycle is for our plane. It is not the board. We wait because we just landed. we wait and wait and wait finally Mom and granny go looking around they found the turn cycle ( is that what they are called) got the suitcase and go out side and what for granny's ride. It is outside place the suitcase in the trunk Granny in the backseat and they are off. Now it is time for our vacation to start.

We see the big white hand for the ME. They tell us to go downstairs and get in line to check in. There is a mass of people everywhere. I found the line checked in, and got in line for the All-Star Movies. I was worried about ME because of all the horry stories that I read on the boards. No horry story here. We were the only stop and they line was short. We did wait in line for about 15 mins before the bus came.

We get to the hotel about 11:45. Great timing cause we landed at 10:30 and took about 20 mins to get granny off. So I check in. Room is ready now. excellent. Gather family and we head out to look for building 8 of Fanstia. Oh my god it is hot. dd 6 is already asking to go in the pool cause she is hot and sweating. All I am thinking is we have been here for about 10 mins and you are complaining about being hot. We find building 8 we need to go the the third floor. fine there is an elevator. we follow the signs to room 8955. The room is the perfect location. It is the first room on the third floor and it over looks both the big mickey pool and the baby pool. You can also see the Bar, food court everything was perfect. Even though it was on the third floor there was an elevator and it cut out the noise at night. will be asking for that room again.

Everyone changes in their bathingsuit then head to the food court to eat. We are on the dining plan but tell mom just pay cash for the food need to work out the credits. I buy two refillable mugs. We eat and then on our way to swim. Find a table with an unbrella with it unload towels, cloths, shoes. Put on the life jackets and jump in. We stay in the pool for a couple of hours. dd 2 is getting tried and starting to whine so I take her back to the room for a nap while dd 6 and mom stay at the pool. Took nap with dd 2 until our suitcases came. Tip the guy and looked for dd 6 and mom could still see them at the pool. Called best friend (3princesses and a prince) and tell her about everything. dd 6 and mom came back, we decided to go to MK for the rest of the night it was about 4:30. Got dd 2 up, dd 6 and me got changed went to get dd 2 dressed and notice that she pee in the bed. ( now dd 2 has been potty trained since june '05 when she turned 2 she still wear a pullup at night but has not had an accient while taking a nap in about 6 months.) So get her dressed call house keeping to change the sheets and get more towels.


On our way to the bus stop there is a tattoo stand, hair twisting thing stand, and draw you face on body stand. Guess what dd 6 wanted to do everything. i told her not right now we are going to MK. Or as she calls it Magical Kingdom. We get on bus and wait the long 20 min ride to get there. I am nervous because I am so excited. Get off the bus put dd 2 in carriage backpacks on and we are off until dd 6 is complaining about her ear. I am like now you are complaining about your ear. I am thinking maybe just water is in it because of swimming so I show her the get the water out of your ear dance. She will not do it. I tell her that is there is nothing I can do right now. Then she get distracted by the boats. secuity check cleared. ticket gate good. dd 6 goes through, mom goes, I go, then the CM asked about dd2 ticket. What? She is two a big two but still two. I tell them that she is two and that was the end of it. Go rent a stroller for dd 6. get the pay ahead thing and dd 6 is starting again with her ear. Now she is crying a little. A CM ask what is wrong tell her and she tells us about the first aid center. so dd6 gets in the stroller and we head to first aid. Of course this not how I would like to spend my first day of vacation but dd 6 is in pain. We get there and nothing they can do but give her tyenol or mortin. Thanks but no thanks alreay have that in the back pack. They did tell us about the hospital service. great. Bathroom break and then we are off.

First thing we saw was the castle and there was alot of people around it. Not thinking of anything we are looking at the map to see were we want to go and then a show starts at the castle. Hello that is why all the people are there. It was the cinderallbration (sp). What a perfect first thing to do in MK. We take alot of pictures and dd 6 is amazed cause Jasime is in it and she saw her and dd 2 is screaming hello to cinderella and then telling me that she is not saying hello back. Show ends

We are now walking to where I am not sure but just walking. I see those water fan things and want to get one, but for some reason mom said no and I listen to her like she was going to buy them or something. We see the tea cups the line is short so dd 2, dd6 and me get in line. Mom does not cause she does not like spinning rides fine she waits with the two strollers. tea cup wait time less than 5 mins. look at map and head to fanasty land. see the pooh ride wait time around 40 mins get fastpasses. continue walking see snow white not scary ride wait time less than 5 mins. great do that ride. It was scary. Next up was mickey's philamagic (whatever it is call) no wait for this too. That was a great little show. My favorite so far. Stop got water and a bathroom break. Mom wants to go on small world. Sorry for anyone who loves that ride but I hate it. next up was peter pan. wait time is 30 mins. while waiting in line looking at the map to see were to eat. The ride was short for such a wait. ( I know 30 mins is not long but everyride before that was walk on almost) We eat at a place right near peter pan. dd 6 had to go to the bathroom mom took her. asked dd 2 if she had to go and no she did not. dd 6 and mom come back and the first things out dd 2 mouth was I have to go potty. Ok fine i take her. ( let me just tell you this is how it went for the first half of the trip)


After we eat we realize that our fast pass were up. It was time for the specomagic parade find a stop on the ground and wait. Some school band goes by a couple of times. dd 6 falls asleep. dd 2 and me eat rice crispy treat mickeys. the parade starts. another beautiful show. lots of pics. Then we move to see wishes but then decide to just head back to the hotel. Yeah right you could not even walk down main street. We see someone walking on the sidewalk and realize that is the best place to walk. Wake dd 6 up to get out of the stroller and head to the bus. Look at the board to see what number movies is and there are two bus just for that hotel. excellent. We wait for about 10 mins can see most of wishes from the bus line. Bus comes and fills quickly. The bus drive stops at all the all star resorts not sure why but nobody gets off until movies. walking to the room. dd 6 sees people in the pool still and wants to go in. I tell her that we cant cause we have to get up early in the morning. Get to the room change and then to bed. dd6 and me in one and dd2 and mom in the other.

Ok, now this is my best friend, we live down the street from eachother, and talk EVERYDAY!!!! Of course she has told me about her whole trip, but i'm sitting here reading away. It's great because I know them I can picture them there. I know how dd2 takes her little fits, and it's making me laugh. And I know dd6 is always hot. Your doing a great job with this, i'm going to keep checking for AK day!

Not sure what time we woke up but not early enough to get there for the opening. We actually did not make any park openings maybe next trip. My mom goes to the food court to get coffee in the refillable mugs, while I shower and get me and the girls ready. Take a sip of the coffee and oh my god I did not know that disney charges to drink mud. I add more sugar to see if it will help. lets just say i could have grown hair on my back if I continue drinking it. Everyone's ready and off the bus but first refill mugs and stop in the gift shop. (this will become a stop at every and I mean every shop) buy autograph books the gold one with the pics on the side and pens and dd 6 a hat. go to the bus stop and the bus is there. Unload the stroller and fold it up and off to the AK. I love the AK for being so close to all-star movies. Get off bus and load stroller up with backpack and dd 2. took a t pic infront to sign. We are in line for bag check and there is a tree rolling around talking to the kids. Not my kids cause they are afraid of a tree.

We start to get hungry cause the O.J. and poptart was not enough for us. Wondering if we could get into donalds breakfast with out adr. seen a sign for rainforest cafe never ate there wanted to try it. There is no wait we will eat there even though it is not part of the dining plan. dd 2 loves elephants she had ( and I say had because it got lost on a recent disney trip more on that later) an elephant that she takes with her everywhere so with the elephants in the resturant it was good. food was good coffee was worst than the all-star. At that point I have given up and decide to go through vacation without coffee. We finish eating and paid I think it was about $33. mom and me each paid $20 and then off to the park not with out stopping at the gift shop. I find some shorts that I really like but will buy them later on the way out. We have not even got into the park yet.

dd 6 wants to put her card through the machine fine she goes through I put my card through and then a CM comes over and say that it did not go through so she takes the card which i though was my card but it was dd card and put it through again. So now I am freaking out cause I thinking another day has came off her card and my card did not go through I ask the CM and they said it is ok. Still worried I go to guest relation while mom gets the stroller. guest relation swips both card everything is good. Great. meet back up with dd and mom. and look at the map to see where to go.

We are on our way to the rapid river ride to get fast passes. Why not ee not sure. We get to rapid river and see that there is no line. decide just to go on it now. messure dd 2 to make sure she is tall enough just made it and she gets a braclet and a stamp. she is a happy camper now. We are walking the long walk just to get to there and dd 6 keeps asking if it is a water ride. ( she does not like to get wet especially in the face) We tell her NO it is not a water ride. So we finally get there and I decide it is best to put on our ponchos because it is not a water ride. we go off to the side and get the ponchos on. all set we get in the raft and had trouble sitting down since dd 2 had to be behind the bar well the CM did not say that and just says you have to sit there. so mom sits there, CM said not her the kid. great to dd 6 sits there nope the other one. so we finally sit down and buckle. everything is going good not getting wet the other people are thinking we have a good seat until the big drop ( i guess that is what you call it) and the raft turns so dd 6 and me have a back facing the water and all i see is water come over the side and on top of us. dd 6 starts screaming like she is dying. I have water down my back and everywhere so much for the ponchos. now dd 6 is mad cause this was not suppose to be a water ride. OOPS I did not know I told her. now on to a bathroom break.


I think we are now on to the safari to get fast pass but see baloo and king monkey (what ever his name is). Great our first autograph. Kids not sure what to do they are kinda of confused in the face. they get the autograph and pic back on our way to the safari. There is alot of traffic so leave mom and girls at some desitantion and go get fast passes. It is time for it is tough to be a bug. Big mistake the show starts and the crying begins. I notice some other people leaving so we just leave. I think now we are headed for camp mickey and minnie. see chip and dale do the autograph thing. kids are hungry so we go eat somewhere forgot name. check the fast pass it is time for the safari. We fastpass the line dd 6 thinks it is great. see some animals take pics ( I think some of them looked fake) now back to camp mickey and minnie. walk buy the pocahonnas show was going to stop but need a bathbreak. bathroom right near were mickey, minnie, pluto, and goofy signing autographs. Go to the bathroom and go to mickey no line, little line for minnie and goofy, no line for pluto. the some charaters from brother bear was there was next in line and they needed a break.


Decide that it is too hot to stay inline under the beating sun and go to the loin king. excellant show reminded me of the broadway one. came out and looked for the stroller found it and waited for the sa of people to move out of the way. great now on the way to EE. I keep seeing it but could never actually fine how to get there. stop and played the drums take apic of the tree. seen pooh, tiger, piglet, and eyeor. walk pass dinoland and on to ee. wait time over an hour fast pass time and hour. park is closing in an hour. dd 6 is mad that she can not go on it. So we head to dinoland to see what is in there. they have a rollercoaster of some sort the whipwhirl thinging. dd6 is big enough dd 2 not so big enough she wait with mom. we wait in line about 5 mins. now this is dd 6 first roller coaster if that is what you want to call it. We has a blast on it and wants to do it again. I told her only if grandma will go on. grandma said no to much spinning for her so then we go on the dumbo ride but with dinos.

We are all getting tried so we head out of the park but first we get mickey bars. what a mess. On the way out we stop at you guessed it a gift shop. mom had dd 6 and i had dd2. I looked quick cause all I was doing was cleaning up dd from the bar cause she can't be dirty. So finally I just go outside and wait cause I was worrie about dd getting chocolate on something. dd 6 and mom came out and dd 6 has chocolate everywhere and moms ice cream everewhere. apparently mom did not clean dd 6 as she ate. Whatever we are on vacation. Off to the bus stop.

We see a bus there as we walking so we start to run then realize that we would not make it. Wait for the bus less than 5 mins. Get to movies walk pass the face drawing, hair twisting, tattoo stands and dd 6 asks again if she can have it done. I said yes just not right now. get to the room and unload and go eat at the food court. then a quick swim and back to the room. shower and the kids are in bed. I go get a drink at the bar forgot what it was not to good though sit by the pool then back to the room gave the drink to mom and went to bed. I think more happen after the park but I can not remember it. so it was a brief summary of what i can remember.



Next up day 3-What did we do on day 3? oh yeah Boma-AKL and DTD.

On to day 3 sorry for the long wait for those that are waiting. Actually had to due some work at work.


On the day before we decide that we are sick of counter service meals. So I call the place you call to make ressies to see where we can eat. I tried to get Ohona's yeah right what was I thinking I did not adr it 180 days out. We were not going to the park on this day so any park breakfast is out. So it happen that Boma at the AKL was open so we made ressies for it. Not sure what time it was for but we get up and ready and decide on taking the AK bus then hopping on the AKL bus since Ak was the closest. We get to AKL and are in Awww. I mean everything was so amazing to us adults the kids did not really know that much. We get to Boma had a little wait and then it was our turn. The food was great. Come time to paid and whip out the room key with the dinning plan. How I love the dining plan. no worries at all. except that they took off 4 table services instead of 3 (dd is 2 a big 2 but still 2) anyways tell the CM and they fix it. We head out to see the animals not sure what part we were at but it was where they have the big chairs and the fire pit. No animals were out the CM told us something but I forget.

We go to the other side to see if we can see the animals over there, but first we had to walkby the pool and that is where I feel in love. IT HAS A WATER SLIDE!!!!!! and like three hot tubs. We did see some animals. dd 6 was asking to go in the pool and I told her no cause the pool hopping police will kick us out joking I just said that we are not staying at the hotel and when we get back to ours then we can go in the pool. We are not heading back tot he bus but first we stop in the gift shop. The kids got disney figures, I got to anklets, nto sure what mom got but she got something. Then we head to the bus stop nice covered from the blazing sun unlike all-stars. AK bus comes and then switch to the all-star movies bus.

Walkingback to the room to change into the bathing suits and again with the can it get my face drawn, hair twisted, and tattoo. and again not right now. We swin for a little bit. Then go back to the room to change and had the girls take a nap.


Nap over and now we are headed to DTD. That was the longest bus drive ever. We finally get there and we go and eat at capatin jack (sorry forgot the name and also if i made ressies the day before or walk in) the wait was long and the girls were fighting while waiting so mom took dd 2 out to some of the stores. It was finally our turn to eat the food was every expensive and not that good and the girls split a meal. I think the bill came to about $100 for three people. again free for us with dinning plan (well not free )


I am going to have to stop as dd 2 is whinning and ready for bed. I will continue later.

so were am I. Oh yeah we finish eating at the capatin jacks place (i dont even think that is the right name ) It is now time for SHOPPING. this is one of my favorite hobbies and that is why i have two jobs and work like a mad woman. First store is the $10 store. I bought some frames, tena topers, and cups for the kids. Next was the pooh corner and there was were dd 6 saw the jasmine costume. I tell her that we will get it but not here. I was thinking maybe another store would have it cheaper in another store. What was I thinking they are all run through disney anyways we do not get the jasmine thing there we do get a golith loin for dd 2 who is in love with Jo-Jo circus and does not have a golith. dd 6 gets a princess cd for her new personal cd player that she got for her birthday and wanted to bring it to disney but did not listen to me when i told her to put it in her backpack and was left on the table. We leave and then are walking around we went in to the pin store. Now I do not get the hole pin trading thing. if you want a pin just buy it. but i guess if you can not find it then you can't but if someone has it then it can be bought you just have to find out where. maybe another trip I will be more into it.

We are not entering the toys store not sure of the name we look around and there is the jasmine costume so we check it out. same price so this is when i realize it. We need a medium. they have one but some of the jewls on the top were missing. no other meduims. again I tell dd 6 another store. Now I am thinking well I just can not get a costume for one dd the other has to get one. So I am thinking of who she like. Sleeping beauty. For me that dress just looked to hot to be walking around in it. so we continue on our search.
We come to the BIG disney store. and start shopping like crazy. We ask a CM where to find the girls costumes and we walk right into a girls heaven with all that princess stuff. I seen the BBB. Now I think it is a bit much for the full package. We did not do it not even the smaller one plus it was closed at the time. We are looking at all the cloths and we see a nightgown that looked like a cinderella's dress so we are thinking maybe dd 2 can wear this but i could not bring my self to buy it. We finally get to the costumes and there is the jasmine one all ready to buy it and there is no medium. what the F%$k. So I tell dd 6 that we will go back to the pooh store and get it. I did find a little mermaid costume for dd 2. Not the white dress. This was a purple top with a green long skirt with fins like things at the bottom. this was great and cute and not to hot cause the belly will show. So I buy that and a couple of other things. Get it shipped to the hotel. CM was a little annoyed at that because I asked after the transaction but hey you did not ask me before. not my problem. Now we are on our way back to the pooh store to get the jasmine dress. mom and dd 2 get a table at garadella(sp) the chocolate ice cream store. dd 6 and me run to get the costume. They had a medium all the jewls were on it. and we bought it. I was going to have dd 6 use her money to buy it but decide that a trip to disney was not enough for a birthday gift so i got it for her.

Back that the ice cream place I get in line to order. then wait at the table for the ice cream. dd 6 has to go to the bathroom. mom takes hers asked dd 2 if she had to go. no she does not. So me and dd 2 are waiting for the ice cream and I notice dd 2 dancing. I ask her if she has to go to the bathroom and he tells me NO, I AM JUST SHAKING MY BOOTY. I just started laughing. mom and dd6 come back just in time the ice cream came. The next words out of dd 2 were death words. she said I PEED IN MY PANTS. Now normally this will be fine cause I always have an extra pair of clothes. Except for that night for some reason I did not pack then. I take dd 2 back to the big disney store and get her underware, socks, shorts and a shirt total cost $70. because we are in disney so now i am mad. ( I also got her tiger ears cause they were cute) So I get the same CM that gave a little 'tude when I was there earlier cause I wanted to send my bags to the hotel. and this time she asked before and I say NO i need the cloths now. I ask where the bathroom is so i can change her.


We are in the bathroom and the shorts are to big. can't returned for a smaller size they are the smallest size. dd 2 sneakers were soaked so I could not put then back on her. I wanted her to put on the tiger ears cause she wanted them so bad, but she did not want to and started to throw a fit. Well I just put the ears in the bag and now i am about to roll her shorts up so they will not fall and then pick her up cause she did not have shoes on and dd 2 is backing away from me and then bangs her head on the sink. Now I was already mad and aggrevated cause she peed in her pants when she could of just said she had to go to the bathroom, I spend $70 on clothes that I should have not cause I did not pack cloths. So now dd 2 is screaming from the pain on banging her head. so i gather her up and the stuff and just get out of the store. dd 2 finally stops crying we get to the ice cream shop were the ice cream was already gone cause mom and dd 6 ate it all. Fine all i wanted to do was go back to the hotel tell cause now I am not feeling so good. My throat was hurting. We find our way back to the bus and oh my god the people for the all-stars. I think this is the only place that all three all-stars were buses together. I don't even bother getting in line cause there is no way we will get on the first bus or the second. mom stand in line. I think we got on the second bus. and it was a long ride home.

On the bus is were i can really feel my throat hurting. We get back to the hotel and just go to bed.
