We made it to the festival center by 11:30am, but went to Test Track and picked up our fast passes for 1:15pm
DSC_0033.jpg

then we picked up our tickets for our 1PM seminar.

We headed out to the festival, our first stop was Brazil
DSC_0011.jpg

and we had the Grilled Pork Skewer with Farola, which was very tender and cooked perfect, it was like grilled pork with bread crumbs on it.

DSC_0013.jpg

We also had the Shrimp Stew with Coconut and lime, David kept telling me that it tasted like Shrimp with Lobster Sauce. The Sauce was very good and the Shrimp were cooked perfectly.

DSC_0012.jpg

To drink we had Lablon Frozen Caipirinha it was like a lemon lime slushy with rum in it. Very refreshing and tasted wonderful.

DSC_0014.jpg

DSC_0015.jpg

Next stop… Argentina,
DSC_0017.jpg

we ordered Grilled Beef Skewer with Chimichurri Sauce and Boniato Puree, David said that it was a wonderfully tender beef with a very rich potato taste and The chimichurri was very good and tasty.
DSC_0020.jpg

We also had the Roasted Corn and Cheese Empanada, David said it was good but very plain.
DSC_0021.jpg

DSC_0022.jpg

We headed back to the festival headquarters for our seminar. Our seminar was on the Publix Cooking School and they were serving a cold salad with Poblano peppers and roasted corn and shrimp served with Pinot Grigio.

DSC_0028.jpg

After our seminar we headed back to the F&W festival.

Next on our tour was Puerto Rico,
DSC_0034.jpg

here we had the Medianoche Sandwich, it was made with Roast Beef, Ham, Swiss and two kinds of Pickles. It was toasted and wonderful.
DSC_0035.jpg

To drink we had the Bacardi Frozen Torched Cherry Colada, it was wonderful, the Cherry flavor was intense, it was very cold and refreshing, sweet and slushy.
DSC_0036.jpg

Mexico was next
DSC_0037.jpg

and we ordered the Tamal de Pollo, the masa was moist, the chicken was tender, flavorful and the tomatillo sauce was very nice.

DSC_0039.jpg

We also ordered the Taco de Chilorio, the Chrizio was flavorful but very greasy, and I dropped the red/orange grease on my white shoe which really made me mad…

DSC_0038.jpg

To drink we got a Passion Fruit Frozen Margarita, it was 12oz which is 4 oz bigger than any other drink out there.
DSC_0040.jpg

From here we detoured over to La Cava and decided to have the flight of tequila, the nice girl in the bar, told us the story and went over everything in the mural. She was very friendly and helped us to understand a lot, she brought over several types of tequila from behind the bar and brought us three different kinds to try and one had the tomato juice back, like the bloody Maria.
DSC_0041.jpg

We ordered the guacamole, it was made fresh right when we ordered it and the chips were very crisp.
DSC_0042.jpg

DSC_0044.jpg

From there we headed to Poland,
DSC_0048.jpg

we ordered Golabki (Pork Stuffed Cabbage), it was tender and tangy, but very greasy.
DSC_0049.jpg

We also ordered Belvedere Strawberry Balsamic Chiller, it was like Frozen Strawberry Puree and Balsamic, the vinegar gave it a little bit of a bite.

DSC_0050.jpg

Next stop was China, here we ordered the Black Pepper Shrimp with Sichuan noodles, the noodles were cooked very well, still tender but not mushy.
DSC_0052.jpg

The shrimp were slightly over cooked, and chewy, cooked in a tempura batter.

We also had the Carmel Ginger Ice Cream, it was very good, with many chunks of the Ginger in the Ice Cream.
DSC_0051.jpg

We stopped and watched the Chinese acrobats. They were really good as usual.
DSC_0068.jpg

DSC_0074.jpg

DSC_0082.jpg

South Korea was next,
DSC_0087.jpg

we ordered Lettuce Wraps with Roast pork and Kimchi Slaw, this meal was light, refreshing, with lots of ginger and sesame oil. We also ordered the Bohae Bokbunjajoo, which is a Black Raspberry Rice Wine, we liked the way this one tasted and was paired well for the slaw.

DSC_0089.jpg

DSC_0088.jpg

Next was South Africa,
DSC_0091.jpg

we ordered the Seared Beef Tenderloin with Sweet Potato Puree and Mango Barbecue Sauce. The potato puree tasted like banana, I did not like it. The Beef tasted good, but was over cooked, and the sauce was tangy. Mostly it was not for us and we would not recommend it. It did not live up to last year.
DSC_0092.jpg

Singapore was the next stop,
DSC_0094.jpg

here we ordered the Coconut Braised Beef Rangdang with jasmine Rice, All I could say about this one was Extremely Dry and Yuck. Their other item was a shrimp cake which we opted to not get since it did not look good.

DSC_0093.jpg

After all of this we decided to go to the Brewer’s Collection and get the beer flight. We had the Schofferhofer Weizen which was clean and fruity (David’s Favorite), the Altenmunster Octoberfest which was flavorful and smooth (my favorite) and the Altenmunster Marzen which was effervescent and crisp.

I think my internet connection timed out while they were loading last night. They were there today. Great Food Porn! Finally I make it into someone's TR before they're done posting!

We stayed on concierge three years ago (I think after the cost of that trip is why we bought DVC) and they didn't have nearly as much out for the evening snacks. It's amazing how much you can save on breakfast eating up there!

You take great pictures, I can't wait to see more!
