I am not sure what Kristen and I will do, there is so much I want to do! Segway tour sounds fun, altantis is beautiful, and a fake kate spade purse might be nice
Depends on what will be planned on the ship- dont want to miss any parties! Would love to try parasailing on castaway cay- hmmm

I'd really love to do the Segway tour. DH wants the casino, so since he wants off the ship anyway, I might as well do some sort of fun thing. Maybe I can get him to do the tour with me, then I'll go over to Atlantis and look around whilst he tries to gamble away our house and children.

I can't decide what to do in Nassau. I'll have 3 kids and my mom in tow, so I'm not sure if I should just do Atlantis and have a fun filled beach day...or do something cultural...my kids love forts..

Is there a tour of the forts down there? That sounds pretty cool.

I had originally wanted to see Atlantis, but how cruel would it be to hit Atlantis and NOT get to play in their waterpark?

John has stated on numerous occasions that some of the DIS planned activities on the boat will require large venues. The team will not be able to secure these areas at sea so they will need to wait until the boat is in port. So sounds like there is definately going to be something on one or both of the port days.

Personally being my first cruise and first DIS meet it is all about the people and the boat. I have a casino practically in my back yard and water park/slides? I need to get off the boat for a water park/slides?

I definately want to get off at CC and either walk or bike around and check out things there providing it doesn't cut into DIS time.

Alicia is always in the market for a faux Prada bag or something similar! So....she is leaning toward getting off the ship in Nassau. I would like to at least see Atlantis, maybe take some photos. As you said George, a lot of our decisions will be based on what the Pod cast crew come up with.

I figure that they will plan something...but on the e-mail show this past week, he sounded like he was considering getting a group together to do the segway tour. I know that John and Kevin will be heading to Atlantis for some gambling at some point that day...at least that's what they keep telling us...

I don't really even want to get off of the ship. While I enjoy cruising, I don't enjoy going into the ports so much. I don't mind doing city tours and whatnot, but I just don't like to walk down the road and practically be shoved into someone's shop when they're selling the same things that every one else is!!

DH and I were talking about it last night...we both enjoyed a tour that we took on St Thomas with Sunny Liston (OMG...if you've never taken one of Sunny's tours... ) and we talked about our favorite souvenirs that we found. And none of those souvenirs were things that were sold in each and every shop along the way...we enjoyed these handpainted bottles of different flavored rums and I found this chocolate shop that I just ADORED! OMG...the BEST chocolate ever...and such unusual flavors too...

I think the only way that I will get off of the ship is if we have a group of us doing a tour together. At least then, if we're in a large group, maybe we won't be accosted quite as much...

They take US Dollars. I just didn't really bring very much with me off the boat because I didn't know I was going to want to buy anything. And if you are haggling make sure you have lots of small bills.
