This might be slightly weird....but has anyone else started packing yet? Or are you waiting for less than 4 months in advance?

Todd, even I'M not packing yet. Of course, I am hoping to lose some weight before the trip.

Kim

I made reservations for a car service to drive us round trip from the Dolphin to the port and then after the cruise back to the beach club hotel.

what time should I have the driver pick us up at the Dolphin in the morning on May 10th

what time should I have the driver pick us up on May 14th, there is a 45.oo an hour wait fee, so I want to try to time it as best as possible..We have the second seating. Are we better off just getting a taxi at the port to drive us to the beach club, to avoid paying a late fee?

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I'll admit to it! :lmao: I have packed some items. Pirate costumes and Summer clothes. :goodvibes I'm really in cruise mode. Tracy, I would love to see that packing list. ;)

I am so behind........do we need Pirate costumes???:confused3

Tracy, that packing list would be Grrrrrrreat!!!!!:thumbsup2

No you don't need pirate costumes unless you are planning on dressing up for pirate night.:thumbsup2 Based on a previous poll most people are not dressing up. :thumbsup2

I was planning on it. But I didn't take into account the space required for FE stuff:sad2: :guilty: But I was a pirate on Halloween because of the cruise.

Then go for it Todd!! pirate: Scale it down a bit if you have to but if you've already got a costume, bring a piece or two :thumbsup2

cheers,
:flower3:

You can always have the FE stuff shipped to the port and to your stateroom.

But that's our job! We're the designated enablers...:rolleyes1

Not this soon, though I started 3 months prior for the last cruise.

Actually I never unpacked everything from the previous one. I have some stuff set aside that we only use for cruising so that is already set aside. Won't pack the clothes until we get much closer.
so as a first time cruiser, i am curious what types of things you usually take on a cruise-----you said you have items you never unpacked and only take/use on cruises- do you mind sharing? I just want to be sure i don't forget anything and you guys know all the ins and outs and little things others don't think about! :goodvibes :thumbsup2

edit- nevermind- i saw you already answered to someone else! :)

Here's my list, which doesn't include clothes because they vary depending on how long the trip is, what type of trip it is, what season it is. I have cut out a few of these things (like shampoo, conditioner and lotion since Disney started carrying H2O products). Feel free to ask questions!

To jump into the fray, we're not dressing up for Pirate Night. In the past we wear tropical shirts for the evening.

That's quite a packing list there AskTracy! Thanks! :thumbsup2

I asked DH last night about dressing up for pirate night. He said that it will depend on his mood...:rotfl: I told him that's not helping me.

(If anyone can tell me where that line comes from let me know)

Anyway, I think all of us going on the cruise should get one of the GKTW t-shirts and be wearing them when we go onboard.

Opinions?

Kim

This is from the TV series Blackadder! Starring Rowan Atkinson and Tony Robinson (whose character 'Baldric' would usually come up with a cunning plan that almost certainly involved a turnip)

One of the best UK comedy shows IMHO :thumbsup2

Definitely one of the best comedy show. I love all the series. Well, maybe not the last one so much. I think my favorite is the Elizabeth one.

Just heard JellyRolls is going smoke free. So our ABBA fest will be much easier on our lungs.

A packing suggestion:

I pack all of our liquids in zip lock bags. Just in case anything leaks, nothing gets damaged in transportation. Toothpaste, cologne, shampoo, etc. It's saved me twice from having to do laundry on our first day of vacation.
