A packing suggestion:

I pack all of our liquids in zip lock bags. Just in case anything leaks, nothing gets damaged in transportation. Toothpaste, cologne, shampoo, etc. It's saved me twice from having to do laundry on our first day of vacation.
Me too!! If I bring anything aerosol (usually my hairspray as they don't sell it any other way) it gets triple bagged too...

Thank you for your list Tracy, there are some things on there that I wouldn't have thought of bringing, just in case. I do however have a couple questions about some stuff:
Alarm Clock-Is this a personal choice or is there not one in the cabin?
Coupons-Coupons for....?
Leatherman-Is what?
Magnetic Thermometer-Like for room temperature or taking a person's temp?
Repellent-Are the bugs that bad in the Caribbean?
Stamps-I thought the information you showed me before stated things mailed in the Bahamas required Bahamian postage stamps?
Toner-Like for a printer/copier? Or is it like a make-up thing?

(I do love the fact that you know what Gaffing Tape is!!)

This is from the TV series Blackadder! Starring Rowan Atkinson and Tony Robinson (whose character 'Baldric' would usually come up with a cunning plan that almost certainly involved a turnip)

One of the best UK comedy shows IMHO :thumbsup2

I saw Hugh Laurie on BlackAdder the other day...it was the Christmas Carol episode!

Alarm Clock - the one in the room is not digital, is somewhat difficult to read and difficult to set and turn off.

Coupons was left on from a trip when we scheduled some independent excursions.

Leatherman is an all purpose tool. Something McGyver would have. My hubby has actually used his on a cruise before (don't ask) Same with the eyeglass repair kit. Once both screws came out and one was lost from his glasses.

Magnetic Thermometer for the room temp. I have a Mickey one that I bring. The rooms are usually too cold for me but when you come in from outside, you don't notice, until night when I get a sore throat from the air conditioning. This allows us to adjust the temperature right from the start.

Repelant- The bugs can be bad at times. If you plan to do an excursion that will take you into the jungle/woods, I recommend it. It was strongly recommended when we went ziplining.

Stamps - some places I've been will take US stamps, like the exotic port of Key West :rotfl:

Toner - this is for your face.

He's an American now :rotfl: doing House! It's so funny to hear his accent :lmao:

He used to do a comedy show with Stephen Fry (who has also appeared in Blackadder) which was great.

They had a whole Blackadder special on TV over Christmas, it went into the history of the series and all the trials and tribulations of getting the second season made - very interesting. Not sure if it'd be on youtube, I'll check later as it's blocked at work!

Four months from right now, I will be somewhere over Tennessee or Georgia. :cloud9: :hourglass :earsboy:

120 Days until "Fun on a Boat!"

Here's my list, which doesn't include clothes because they vary depending on how long the trip is, what type of trip it is, what season it is. I have cut out a few of these things (like shampoo, conditioner and lotion since Disney started carrying H2O products). Feel free to ask questions!

Wow- your list is longer than the one I had when going to China to adopt my girls! And that was planning for a new baby you knew nothing about!
thanks- I will have to start gathering- I do like to be prepared!

We just found out friends were thinking of cruising and I want to convince them to do the Podcast one!

I know Jan 10 is the cutoff date. What does that mean, by end of day tomorrow deposit has to be paid?

It's pretty short notice for them, since he still has to talk to his wife about it :rotfl2: Can they put down a deposit and if they can't make it, is the deposit fully refundable until Feb 23?

I'm going to send him the quote link page but I wanted to pass on some info in the e-mail too. Hoping for another conscript :rotfl:

cheers,
:flower3:

Same here. Hopefully a group of us will be hanging out in the parks or at the pool.
Since it's most likely going to be just DH and me, we're not sure if we're going to get park admission or not yet...probably not...but i'll let him decide that one! We're doing our booze run before we get to the Dolphin...and I think we'll be meeting with a few others to battle the Kitchen Sink at Beaches & Cream...and then off to the Poly for the pre-cruise meet.

Anyone got any ideas for something fun to do as a group (for those interested anyway) that wouldn't require park admission?

What's everyone doing for dinner?
