Legitimate cruise question: AskTracy...do you know what DCL's policy is on pregnancy? How far along do you have to be before they deny boarding? I thought I read 26 weeks somewhere...but now can't find it!

I was just reading that in the phamplet they sent out. I think it was 26, but I'll check when I get home (who am I kidding, Tracy will have an answer in 10 minutes)

I thought it was 26 weeks as well, but when I googled it, I kept seeing 24 weeks from the Passporter website. My mom was going to call DCL when she gets home, but I thought i'd see if the wonderful, amazing AskTracy would know! :)

for some reason, I thought I remembered seeing it listed in the actual little brochure DCL sent out with the excursion info in it- somewhere near the back.

I missed all the drama on the other thread.....oh dear. Poor podcast team.

My sister in law, for those of you who didn't know, is pregnant. They were the ones that we were surprising with the cruise for Christmas...she had a doctor's appointment this morning and she's 7 weeks along. Assuming everything progresses normally with her pregnancy, she'll be 24 1/2 weeks when we board the Wonder. I'm truly hoping that DCL's policy is 26 weeks!

You should have seen the flurry of panic that set in once they told everyone! They told us before Christmas...Mom flipped out...she kept telling them "I need more information!! How far along are you? When are you due?" But they had no idea why...:rotfl:

Once they found out Christmas morning, they understood...lol

Hmmm....AskTracy must be busy today.

I have a semi cruise related question. How much does it cost to mail a post card from the Bahamas to the US, Canada, and the UK?

Bad news....

She is very busy today, with lots of podcast cruiser issues :)

I want to say it's around 55 cents to US, but I don't know about Canada or the UK or for that matter if it really is 55 cents. Sorry, I can't help with this one right now.

No. That's what it costs you....Mr. "I have 6 wives and some kidlets." Those of us who are still single pay far less....:lmao:

Dang, stupid government and their marriage penalty!

We understand!!! You are wonderful Tracy!!!!!

Maybe there is a Canadian or British DISer that has been to the Bahamas before and sent something through the post?

Dang it Dang it Dang it! I told my mom that this would happen...LOL

I'm sure she's going to call DCL herself, just to verify the info later. :guilty:

It's a bummer Brandie. I know how excited you were to do this for your brother and sister-in-law.:sad1:

Not sure...I assume that the docs know what they are talking about...lol...but who knows.

They could be wrong. She 'could be at 22 weeks' when we sail. Then low and behold, after we are done, the doctor re-evaluates and finds her at 25 weeks! Wowser. But I am just a dude, so I don't know much about the whole bun in the oven thing. Might have more to do with how she is feeling than anything.

BTW: Your next post is 8,000. Congrats!!! Jeez you talk alot! :p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p

Wow...8000 posts...

I do talk a lot! :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

But I couldn't have done it without you guys! ;)
