We're staying till Sunday. Right now we're at the Dolphin. I may switch over to DVC, if I can get into the BWV or BCV. We'll do the parks. I hope to join the guys on the EPCOT Beer Tour.

The more the merrier!

I am looking forward to checking out the Dophin since this is the only opportunity I'll probably ever have to stay there. Besides our points for next year are pretty well shot. But BCV is one of our favorites...

As for the beer, we always spend at least one night at ESPN drinking beer, eating hot wings, and watching whatever games are on, so the EPCOT Beer Tour sounds good to us. Beer Tour, sounds like we should all be wearing those funny headsets or riding Segways or something.

I just asked to have us added to the Fish Extender list! Now I get to make them I guess. That should be fun!

I'm not a diligent poster like many others are so I have a question?
What is the signifance of the being booed (pre-Halloween) and being stuffed (pre-Thanksgiving) and I'm not sure what it is now, but I'm seeing people with dancing trees, so I was curious what that means and how it happens?

But speaking of posting, do you think I could win a prize for being a member for so long and having the fewest posts?

Welcome to the cruise!

Not every one is joining the fish extender exchange. So far about half the cabins. It's up to you what you want to give. I won't be giving one per person , but rather one per cabin.

That makes it more manageable for me - there's about 45 cabins signed up now for the FE. I'll be mixing up what I give from cabin to cabin since some cabins will have kids.

I don't know if there are any "official rules" but for me I think it would be nice to give something to every cabin that signed up for the FE. Going on the premise that everyone is giving everyone else something - I don't want to relive scenarios of who in Charlie Brown's class got a Valentine. I thnk it's just meant to be lighthearted & fun. And with the long winters, it'll keep some of us out of trouble

Of course, I've never done the FE before either so this is just what I gather from posts on the cruise boards, etc. I'm sure someone will correct me where I'm wrong

A few of us are also doing a group gift so we can give something a little nicer to everyone. Let me know if you are interested in joining. So far there are 5 us.

I also signed up for the FE. I also was thinking of doing one item per cabin.
I was just in Las Vegas and went to the Disney outlet store on the strip and picked up some items. Those were some small items like Mickey Ear shaped pens, light-up pens, princess eye patches. I think on thoses items I will do more than one per cabin.
I was thinking of getting small boxes of chocolate, postcards of where I live, more pirate items. Is this the kind of stuff you put in the FE? I also have never done this before.

That is basically my plan right now. One per cabin, something from my state/area. It will be a challenge to fine something in those numbers without spending a small fortune.

Actually, that's a neat idea. It would be a lot easier and then you could geer your gift to whoever was in the cabin you were given. But truth be told, I think this was designed to give you a lot of little things over the course of your cruise, so each day you may find one or two things in your FE.

I just keep hearing Kevin's voice saying tchotchkes, in the back of my mind and I so do not want my gift to be the first thing put out in the garage sale next summer. That is why I may go with food, few people will discard candy.

I think candy is a good idea. I was thinking about that too. I am concerned about the money involved, but also just the mass of gifts for 90 people. Or even 40 staterooms.

It'll be like Halloween. Which is cool. Unless you're diabetic. Then it sucks. Trust me.

Plus the weather in Florida may not accommodate certain sweets melting points.
