It funny because my son got my competitive gene. We were watching the crab races on Castaway Cay. We were not even one of the families holding the sign. He got so mad when the crab he had picked was falling behind. He was screaming at the crab to go fast.

This also helped us when he dedided he wanted his own bike at Castaway. He was getting tired at the end of the 4 mile ride, but another kid passed him. He peddled like the wind until he beat the other kid. The bike ride was my favorite part of Castaway Cay.

Good to hear about the bike ride, I'm trying to figure out what to do at castaway cay.

I want to take Chris parasailing for the first time on Castaway Cay. Anyone know how much that is?

Is there a jail cell on the ship?

I'll see what I can find out. I believe if there is a problem they put you under house arrest in your cabin, but not 100% sure on that. I'll ask today.

How long until we can start booking if we are castaway cay members? 90 days right?

Your balance needs to be paid in full first.:thumbsup2

After you are paid in full you can book at midnight on February 24, 2009.

Good question. I will try to book a Palo dinner...wanna join us?
I will be booking some sort of "excursion" on castway cay, maybe
a jet ski or something.

Haven't decided what to do in the Bahamas, I would like to just go to
someone unique for lunch or something.

Keep in mind, if you are going to make reservations for more than just your room at Palo, you all need to be linked together. you will also be dining with these people at your table. Not to say you wouldn't want to, just letting you know how it works.

I think you can get a bahamas stamp at castaway cay...

Not the right kind of stamp.

If only there were someone we could ask.......:confused3

I know, I feel like we are on an island ;) She will be back soon..we will be okay..right :confused3

You can ask at Guest Services at the beginning of the cruise to have your passports stamped in the Bahamas, and they will get it stamped for you. They won't guarantee it will be done though.

Quit worrying so much, you know I always check in on you guys :goodvibes

Funny thing happened at dinner last night.

We made reservations a couple weeks ago for the Wave. Walked in last night and was greeted by our very own Jaime, tiggerbell!! I have met Jaime before in Chicago at a DISmeet so I recognized her immediately (that and all her pictures here). She was having dinner with another DISer that I have not met before (hi Angela). We went to our table and I thought I should check email quick and pulled out my Blackberry Storm when I noticed at a table near us were some friends that we originally met on the DISboards, but have cruised with twice, including our recent PC cruise where we dinned with them for 15 nights.

I went over and said hello to Norm and Nancy and chatted a bit. After dinner, Norm and Nancy stopped by to say goodbye and said that there was a woman sitting next to them that they spotted at AK earlier yesterday. She had a child near her that stomped on her foot for no reason at all. Nancy said she told the woman that she witnessed it all and she was not crazy, it really happened.

Just then, Jaime came to the table and said, "you know Tracy?". Turns out Jaime was the woman from AK!!!! What a small, twisted world we live in. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Just goes to show you Tracy....Anything is possible!

Amazing the people you can meet a thousand miles away from home. People that I live 2 miles away and I'll run into them in Orlando.

Okay, so the next question is....

Which locker did she stuff the li'l angel in afterwards?:rotfl:

Hope you're having fun, Tracy! See you soon!

Jen -- I want to do this with my family as well. I'm not sure how many go out at a time, but maybe we will end up on the same excursion. :goodvibes

That is too funny!!! I see Jaime tomorrow so I'll have to ask her how her foot is. Poor Jaime. She's had so many foot problems the last few years, so I'm sure this didn't help.

That's great that you get to meet Jaime tomorrow, Shelly. I still thinks it's so great that you were able to "find each other" for the cruise. :goodvibes

I'm excited!!! We have found that we have quite a few things in common which is both very cool and very scary!! We should have a blast!!!!

Is it May yet?
