Excited and want to share...

I just booked 2 nights at the Hard Rock Hotel for May 5-7th using the AP I won on the show!!

The AP cost was $144 per night/ Garden View
$288 (2 nights) + $36 (Taxes)....Total: $324

We've never been to US before. We are currently booked at the Dolphin on those 2 nights but it just isn't convenient to US so I went over to the US website to see what kind of AP discounts they were offering. I tried to go thru DU but they weren't getting this price so I did it through the US website.

The regular cost of a Garden View at this resort is $284 per night!!

Hi there everybody i'm back from our dinner....

It was a fun night out but.....
After a while the conversation went into the direction of vacations and there it was again....
You all probably know in what direction this goes......

And Yvette?? Are you going to Disney again???? Why in heavens name why.....?????????????
And there you go again: explaining what, why, how, when and why again again and again.
They always ask but they never get it, the never will get it.
It makes me feel like a paria or an alian.......

The whole conversation i was explaining to them (especially one co-worker) what we like about Disney and they looked at me if i was straight from Mars.
I know it's a waste of time trying it but if they ask i want to try at least, every time over and over again.

During this complete unuseful conversation i was thinking ohw i miss my Dis friends they know what i mean, they feel the same, they know what i'm going tru right now....

So i just wanted to spill my guts about this so i can go to bed knowing that there are people on this world that do understand me and my love for Disney.....

Actually my Gf's name is Susan (MerriePoppins), and the "J/Kim" thing comes from last summer when we were all having fun with THE Kevin's observation that the DIS seemed/seems to have an abundance of "Kims." I and others had suggested we all just call ourselves Kim, or all wear nametags saying "Hi, My Name is KIM" on the cruise.

I know exactly how you feel Yvet. I've gone through this for years with family and co-workers.

Kim, are you going to Disney AGAIN? You know you really need to try something different. You really ought to broaden your horizens. And of course some of these comments come from people who vacation at Cape Cod and stay at the same hotel during the same week every year. GIVE ME A BREAK!. Maybe THEY need to broaden THEIR horizens, or just keep their opinions to themselves.

Thank goodness I now have a co-worker who LOOOVES going to Disney World. She TOTALLY gets it. I have become good friends with her and her family because of our mutual love of Disney. People like her and everyone here on the podcast forum have made me realize that I am not a freak because I like to go to WDW again and again and again.
