Hey Anne you made it to chat!:goodvibes Did spinning class end early?

My DH was watching 24 when I got home. I thought he would want to start watching Lost right away so I have 30 minutes to spare.

I could not keep up in chat last night. Usually I do ok, but I was completely lost last night.

Chat is tonight! :surfweb: Who's going to join in the fun?

I got in right around 10pm and missed most of it. :sad2: So what did I miss?

Someone pages and pages ago (or maybe threads and threads ago) asked what beers were available on tap on the ship. No one here knew the answer. I just found the following post on the DCL Board here - for all of the beer lovers:

Thank you Dodie - THANK YOU! :thumbsup2 So now I have the draft beers covered. Now to find out bottles. :)

Looks like I'll be bringing 24 Elsinore....:lmao:

Now, the mug thing, that may be interesting.
for the price of 3 beers, I get a mug that will hold MORE BEER than a pint.
I'll get my moneys worth back by dinner, day 1. :thumbsup2

C'mon now John. Surely you can drink Sam Adams? Is Elsinore a pilsner or ale? I'm not familiar.

I see my Guinness :drinking1 but no Harp?!? No Cider? How will I get Black & Tans or Snakebites? :scared1:

Get 6 pack of Harp for Jason. :thumbsup2

I know it's Wednesday (Show is up and Chat is in a few).

Someone please tell me that tomorrow will magically be Friday. Please? The past few days have been rough.

OK - today is Friday! :wizard: (If you happen to have tomorrow off.) :rotfl2:

Another sucky week of terrible singers so far on AI. :sad2:

I'm glad we had this Tivo'd Paul. Absolutely terrible. :sad2:

Tomorrow is my friday, heading up north for a ski weekend on friday and not coming back until Monday! Whoohoo

Sounds like a good time Puck! Have fun.

For anyone that missed the chat link

I keep going back and forth between getting a town car/limo to the port and driving the rental car. Right now I'm in the rental car frame of mind...we shall see.

I am planning on renting and parking. I think the $60 parking fee is acceptable so I can just walk off the ship and not have to worry about getting to the rental car place and waiting in line. I also may leave some stuff in the trunk (like dirty clothes or clothes that I won't be taking on board) so it will act like a locker. I won't be leaving anything meltable. The Florida sun gets mighty warm.

I'm renting a car too. Although Budget is atrocious right now for coming back from the port.:scared:

I ended up getting a great deal for that using the Magicard code with Dollar on the Orlandoinfo dot com website. However, the Transportation board has some awful stories about the Cape Canaveral Dollar office.:guilty: I hope they've improved!

I'm still gonna try priceline last minute though to see if I can swing an awesome deal!:cool2: It's the only gambling I'm into.:cheer2: Come on lucky $10 a day!!!!

If you're looking for Town cars, FL Tours that sponsors the Transportatin Board has always had great feedback. I've never seen a complaint about them at all. (and they'll stop at the grocery store if you want.)

I believe Disney's Transfers costs $35 per person, (one way) or $69 per person (roundtrip) to take the Disney bus between a Disney resort and Port Canaveral, or between the Orlando airport and Port Canaveral.

Personally, I've never used Disney's Transfers to the port. I prefer to traumatize my oldest DS, which apparently I did our first rental car trip to Port Canaveral when I thought we were lost, and was doing some creative driving while looking at the map. He was only 8 then. He's always telling me how much he loves Magical Express, and every trip his first question is always, "Are we renting a car?" Poor child! He's 14 now and the memory still lingers....I didn't think I was driving that bad!

I went back and forth with this decision ALOT after much debating We decided to rent a car...We are going to be in Florida for 2 weeks with the cruise included during that time. To rent an economy size car it was going to cost us over $500 dollars and that did not include the $$ we would have spent to park it at the pier which would have been another $60 dollars for us and that figure with gas would have been around $600 buck for the ,2 weeks (we do not need the car at disney we never had a problem with using the disney buses are are takign magical express home)

anyway the round trip cost for car service to and from the port was about $215.00 without a tip....its a little pricey but wound up being cheaper than getting a car for us. ...I think the disney shuttle is 75.00 per person

I am renting and staying at the Radisson the night before. They offer free parking and a free shuttle to port.

I did this our last cruise and loved it. Also make sure there is no food at all in your car. The ants can be really bad.

I am hoping for a Hotwire deal too. I keep checking about every week.

Disney transfers are $35 one way, $69 roundtrip to and from the airport only. If you do roundtrip and they include a Disney Resort or the Swan/Dolphin on either end, they price it at two one way trips or $70.
