Thanks for asking, Nicole.

My daughter is doing better... I guess. We had a rough night. I took her to the Immediate Care (my nurse friend said to take her to IC instead of the ER... I should have followed my gut and taken her to the ER). So, I took her to IC and they tested for strep (negative) and the flu (negative) and took urine for me to take to her doctor today. They told me she would be fine and to take her home and give her Tylenol and Motrin.

We got home and I put her in my bed while I caught up on American Idol and Top Chef... she seemed to be sleeping soundly but then started shaking and had a seizure. She was blue and making the most awful sounds. We called 911 and they rushed her to the hospital. Her temp was over 107 at one point during the night. It was the scariest thing I have ever been through with any of my kids.

We're home now. She still has a temp of 104. The fever was caused by an infection in her kidneys. The seizure was caused by the high fever.

She should be back to normal in a day or two. I will never be normal. :)

:scared: OMG! That must have been horrendous for you. I don't think I would get over that either. Not even an entire bottle of liquor would calm those nerves.

Wow talk about scary. :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:
I would be having a breakdown if I were in your shoes.
All the best and hopefully she recovers quickly.
I will be thinking about you.

Was this the Obama/charities thread?

I saw that too, but hoped it would just slide off the page.

I felt the same way John. There was no possibility of anything good coming out of that thread.

Yes, that thread.

I love ate and ate and eight, as long as we are eating pie, not cake :)

:sad2:

So, why isn't there going to be an AskTracy thread? :confused3

George, those look tasty. I can't wait for Palo Brunch.

Yes, that thread.

It was quite an angry thread heading, I posted trying to make nice- need to learn NOT to do that, gets me no where. Now I know why I avoid the community board. I will from now on refrain from responding, remain in my happy place (podcast board with my peeps)
and learn to just eat cake :cake: and be happy

I am going to guess time suck Dara.

This thread IS the time suck, George. Wasted time for AskTracy to search it for questions and wasted time for us trying to locate her answers.... if we're lucky. That decision really SUCKS! Who decided that anyway?! I was really counting on it too. :sad2:

OMG that is so scary. I am glad she is OK now.

I'm not gonna get that bothered by it Dara. :) Tracy works for DU and her duties are much more than scanning this topic daily. If I had an important question to get answered I'd email her directly or I'd take it to the DCL board and ask there. There is already an FAQ posted up at the top.

Frankly I think there are a lot of us here that over plan way too much for our own good. And then there is the all fluff and the chick peas. :lmao:
