WOW! I just got done paying my bills and couldnt believe I was writing Dec 1 on them! I can not believe how time is flying by the podcast cruise will be here before we know it.

We have decided to rent a car for our trip to Disney in May. Just wondering how parking is near the port. We have decided to pay the parking fee for the 4 nights we are on the podcast cruise. Is it easy to find a parking spot or will we be circling for awhile?

Get there early and you'll park steps from the front door. We actually parked in a spot that was about 20 feet from the main entrance.

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy December!!!
This morning it is 23°F:cold::cold:. Outside is a mix of slush and snow, resembling a slurpee machine gone awry.

To help those of us up north battle the winter months, just a reminder that it is 159 days until "Fun on a Boat"!!!!

Todd, when are we going to get the original cast recording of "Fun on a Boat"?

What is considered early? What time should I leave the dolphin to be there early?

Um...yeah...11am...yeah...that's when you should leave the dolphin...;) :rolleyes1

Can't have anyone else getting there before me! :lmao:

In case you couldn't tell...i'm just teasing!

Hey Tracy, I have an actual cruise question! :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

I read this over on the cruise board...

I contacted Dreams Unlimited this morning after noticing that the fuel supplement was no longer being charged on my Feb. cruise for new bookings. They confirmed that the supplement will be refunded to us in the form of an onboard credit. Hooray!

Do you have any info on this? Will the fuel surcharge be refunded? Thank you my dear. :goodvibes :surfweb:

All of you who are booked in group space do not have a fuel supplement added to the reservation plus anyone who booked before May 28, 2008. For the rest of you, we will be contacting you shortly with what will happen. The details of how Disney is handling this are still being sorted out.

Thanks!

Although we are excited about getting there, I don't necessarily feel like waiting on the dock, so I figure leaving about 90-115 minutes before boarding starts. That way I might be able to return the car and not have to sit and wait for them to open the gang plank.

You mean you don't want to be first on board?? :scared1: ;)

Another DIS'er was on this sailing. Thankfully he wasn't boarding at that moment.

PORT CANAVERAL -- The main gangway for guests and crew members to get to the Disney Wonder Cruise ship collapsed into the water.

There were several guests onboard the Disney Wonder Cruise Ship. The ship had to be moved to a cargo pier to load the remainder of the guests.

The ship was an hour late pulling out of port.

There were no reports of injuries.

You've never traveled with Namine. Trying to get him anywhere on time is like trying to raise the Titanic. So first is not an option. I'm trying to not be last. ;)
Ok seriously...Titanic reference in the podcast cruise thread? :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Sorry. I'm in a dark comic place right now. Blame it on DIS radio. Lots of Haunted Mansion stuff today it seems.

What other Herculean task would you have had me use instead?

On my last cruise, we were getting ready to sail away when all the sudden a family come running out of the terminal with a number of the agents escorting them and their luggage. Since they had already pulled the main gangway back, they boarded thru the cargo doors at the bow of the ship. There was a lot of finger pointing, cheering and clapping as they jumped on.

Don't let that be you Todd. You know we'll find away to get your picture on the Dumbo-tron.

As long as the picture isn't something like this:
