OK, so you guys have what, about 8 milion posts? Am I in the right place for the Podcast Cruise discussion? This will be my first Disney cruise and my second cruise ever. I was hoping for sort of a "Cruising for Dummies" discussion that answers all of the questions I have not thought to ask.

Welcome Colleen. You are absolutely in the right place. We were just having a little bit of Friday fun. We are a super nice bunch (if I do say so myself) I am a first time cruiser so I can't answer any questions. Tracy our Travel agent lurks here, as well as on her ASK Tracy thread for specific questions. This thread is more like crazy people (not me of course) getting to know one another before the cruise. Again welcome and don't be afraid to post random information about your life or pics of your pets! And don't bother trying to read all those pages, it's mostly just Brandie and Jen trying to up their post count.

YIKES!! You all are crazy, like I didn't already know that!! I'm back, kinda. Hanging in the hotel room getting ready to head out to the lego store and the dinner at TEXAS DE BRAZIL!!! That beats any post count!! bwaahaaa

On my last (one and only) cruise I went to Mexico. On a shore tour we rode in an old school bus down a rutted road to the Mayan ruins at Talum. Talum was very beautiful, but overrun by cruise ship tourists. (A little like Main Street USA on the 4th of July.) That was 10 years ago. For some reason I could never talk my husband into another cruise. I'm thinking this one will be different, but how do they handle the fact that everybody gets off the ship at once and heads for Castaway Cay?

I am quite sure that this cruise will far different than any other cruise. EVER. But you already knew that from the special cruise podcast.

As for Castaway Cay, I'm sure its kinda like Soarin', or Expedition Everest, or Space Mountain, or Toy Story Mania. Disney is the expert at lines and crowd control.
