Did everyone sleep in today?!?

After my first week at the new job, I finally get to see my Sweetie:love: tonight! (And NO, it's not Don!:lmao: - although I'm sure he is a sweetie)

Thanks for letting me post my PS's here, I know he reads this thread pretty regularly- and it's been tough trying to get used to being here without him.

Please continue with excessive misc. posting!:rotfl2:

Lori pirate:

PS for Rick- There's chicken alfredo in the fridge- if you want something before I get home from work. Missed you!

Hmmm...Rick what time is dinner???? :lmao:

Lori that great thing about this DIS is the ability, in extreme cases, to get in touch with others. Back during one of the 2004 hurricanes this was the only place where I could find out my Sister and family were safe and ok and she could post updates on what was happening with them.

I hope the job is all that you expected it to be and you and Rick have a great weekend together.

Back to Podcast Cruise subject matter...

So Lori you have no interest in being Don's #5?

Morning all, and I love Chix Alfredo

# 1 is going to have an interesting cruise !?!?!? :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

She must be amazing....;)

As long as I get my fantasy football league comish I'm good. I've got my hands pretty full keeping up with Rick!:lmao: Maybe after this job ends and I head back to MI we'll revisit the idea.:rotfl2:

And it was Hurricane Katrina that brought me to the DIS. When Rick had to go back to work and travel and I was here with the shops we had I was hopelessly lonely, and found a home here on the DIS, and have found some wonderful friends, many of whom have become RL friends as well. They've gotten me through so much, I could never thank them enough-especially with losing my Grandma and Tim.:grouphug:

I get along better with you nuts than I do my own family, I'm not sure how this boat is gonna survive!:rolleyes1

Morning all, and I love Chix Alfredo
Leftovers from last night, but if you can beat Rick home, you're more than welcome to them!:rotfl2:

I broke down and told him we could get pizza tonight( )- blech! So of course he's thrilled now!

Well crap! go buy a 20 dollar wireless adapter, usb would work just fine.

My pc guy said I should get a wireless n smartcard adapter. The laptop has a slot for it.

She is pretty amazing, 3 kids and well...4 kids counting me....

Does she know she has 3 other wives to keep track of?:rotfl:

I get along better with you nuts than I do my own family!:rolleyes1

Girly, I hear ya. Yesterday my Dad offered to watch the baby while I stood in line for something, The kicker is, he offered to watch him in the parking lot. Like watching a sleeping baby is hard work. UGH, dont' get me started. I'd finished this thread in 5 minutes. We have no one to watch the kids ever, so we pay through the nose for a sitter. We love the sitter and she is always great with the kids. It just p's me off that my own family NEVER does. Rant over.

Jen

Glad you have a good sitter !! :) I think all families have their NUTS !! I

know I do.....but I won't go in to that :rotfl2: it would take waaaaaay too

long.

What did you decide about Mousefest?

Morning all, and I love Chix Alfredo

I took that soooo wrong.....:scared1: :scared1: :rolleyes1

lol, its just short for Chicken, for once I didn't have a hidden meaning....but maybe it was a Freudian slip.

Al·fredo (al frādō, äl-)
adjective
coated with a mixture of butter, cream, and grated Parmesan cheese, or now, often, with a white cheese sauce somewhat like this fettuccine Alfredo

Yay for getting to see your sweetie!! Thankfully my DH doesn't travel for work any more. When he did, it sucked...I am so not the kind of person who likes to be alone!

I found the DIS when I was planning our wedding. We had decided to get married in Orlando instead of Vegas as I found a deal for a week at Disney that was way too good to pass up! (I have since learned that if it's too good to be true, then it probably is...lol) Anyway, I used the DIS to plan out our honeymoon and just never left! That was in 2002...i've met only a handful of people from the DIS, but i've never really felt as if I belonged here until this board and you people! I can't wait to meet all of you!!!

I took that soooo wrong.....:scared1: :rolleyes1
You ain't the only one :rotfl2:

Aww Jen...i'd babysit for you! But either you'd have to move or we'd have to move...and that's not happening...so...guess you're stuck with the babysitter!

I help out my sister when I can with her little ones.

What did you decide about Mousefest?
Nuts? I can't post too many details about my nuts...uh...family nuts...we really only associate with my immediate family. The extended family from either side has never been close. My mom's family was somewhat close until my grandma passed away. And dad's family...talk about NUTS! His mom never deserved the title grandma from me. She didn't like my mom...which I still don't understand to this day...she offered to pay for my parents to divorce so that dad could re-marry his ex. Uh...they divorced for a reason...lol...she never really took to us kids. We were treated like second class citizens as compared to her other grandkids. But that's neither here nor there...it's never really bothered me. I had my grandma from my mom's side. She more than made up for the lack of grandmothering from the other! She passed away when I was 15. :(

Don't even get me started on DH's family...:scared1:

But I promise you that my brother and his wife are normal. Well...as normal as they come anyway. They will certainly add to the fun on a boat party in May!! :dance3:

Fredo was, but HE was known for "interacting" with multiple cocktail waitresses at a time, which was not an implication I was making about Don's "Wives" :lmao: :rotfl2:

Edited to Add: Plus Fredo was never The Don.....or even A Don....

I just got approval for a million dollar network upgrade! Woohoo...now, how to figure a massage chair and 60 inch plasma into the "network equipment" category?? :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Ergonomics...reducing workplace injury and strain....the massage chair is to keep your blood flowing so you don't get clots and the screen is so you don't have to squint.
