I'm taking over Paul's smiley duties while he is working!

Talk about your bad days....

My DD has been calling me on her way to class this morning. There was a major accident right in front of her, due to the icy roads. She went to try to turn around, and got stuck in a ditch when she slid off the road. Finally, the emergency workers who weren't working on the major accident came over and helped her out of a ditch. She calls me to tell me that she's back on the road going to class...and someone just crashed into her. It sounded like she backed into her...I'll be back later.

I hope she is okay. How scary for her!

Probably Tracy knows this but maybe somebody else also knows something about booking a cruise while onboard....

Hopefully this is all current and correct:

f you are going on a Disney cruise and think there is ANY chance you may want to go on another Disney cruise in the future, be sure to book your future cruise while you are still onboard the ship. You will receive a 10% discount and an onboard credit for the future cruise! The onboard credit is usually $200 for a 7-night cruise; $100 for a 3-night or 4-night cruise.

Some additional details:

*

There is a future bookings desk on the ship. Check your daily Navigator for times and location.
*

A deposit is required at the time of booking. The exact amount is based on the room category booked, number of persons in the room and the length of the sailing. Generally it is $200 per person for 3-night or 4-night cruises and $250 per person for 7-night cruises in Categories 4-12. For Categories 4-12, the deposit is fully refundable until full payment is due. The deposit is usually $500 per person for a suite (Categories 1-3). If you reserve a suite, your deposit is nonrefundable, but it can be moved to a different date without penalty.
*

You can later change the dates of the future cruise and still keep the onboard booking discount and onboard credit. There is no penalty for making changes to the reservation. For this reason, some people book random future dates, just to hold the discount.
*

You can transfer your onboard reservation to a travel agency and keep the onboard booking discount and onboard credit. However, you generally will NOT get whatever promotional deal the travel agency may be offering (such as Dreams Unlimited Travel onboard credit offer). Also, onboard booking incentives CANNOT be combined with any group discounts organized by a travel agency.
*

You can book as many staterooms for future cruises as you have people in your party. For instance, if you have a family of 5 on the cruise, you can book up to 5 staterooms for future cruises! This is great if you'd like to organize a family reunion cruise, or get a great deal for family and friends.

it depends on whether you're rebooking a 4 or 7 night. I think the 10%/200 is for the 7 night and there's just a smaller onboard credit for a4 night.

Hows this sound! I get to support a school district of 500+ employees and 3000 students. Thats all well and good, but our equipment is getting old and our network backbone is almost 10 years old. Here is the best part, they gave me 250,000 to upgrade it all! LOL, thats about 1/4 of what I need and that doesn't take into account that all our computers are 4 years old and in need of replacement. I was livid after coming out of that meeting today. That amount of money won't even replace 1/2 the computer that need replacement! UGH! Time to break out the duct tape and paperclips!

Don, maybe you need to go a on a cruise to relax? :)

Seriously, I understand. Our company keeps getting rid of people either through lay offs or buy outs and the knowledge that has gone out the door in the past couple of years is terrible. A good friend took a buy out and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think, I wish she was here to answer my questions.

Good luck with the duct tape and paper clips.

Kim

I'm of course glad to have a job, but its tough to do it well without any support. I have a good staff, but we just can't keep fixing old computers and equipment before it dies and becomes useless. They push more and more onto the computers and our network and it all just gets slower and slower. Can't wait for the cruise, I'm turning my phone off!

Paul has the big stuff, but I have plenty of them. Whatcha need? Something that can hit from 1/2 mile away or something semi-auto with lots of ammo?

Both!!! I'm afraid that I might have some escapies that will need to be dealt with once I start picking them off at close range.
