Or khakis, or "pants"

(better Jen :worship: )

Well, that will just make his day. His idea of vacation is with as few clothes as possible. AND, because I'm saying this in reply to Don I will add that he DOES like to keep all itty bitt parts covered so as not to scare anyone away.

Hopefully he doesn't read that you called them itty bitt parts.....I won't tell....

TMI, Nicole....TMI!!!

I don't like how dresses fit me so I won't bring any. I will bring some skirts or dress pants and some nice blouses to wear to dinner.:goodvibes

I didn't even think of skirts!! I love skirts! :goodvibes

I'm with you. My kids have great clothes - mainly because I like to only do laundry once a month (just kidding, but I'm sure glad DH doesn't read these boards). I ate clothes for myself. My best friends are my sweatshirts. But, I"m going to ATTEMPT to find a dress. I want one that makes me look like I'm a "fun" person, not someone who has been released from the nursing home for my once a month outing. I'm really bitter about this dress shopping, and feeling a little frumpy. I'm hoping to find something tomorrow.

Good luck tomorrow!! My best friends are T-shirts from the old days when I used to run in mini-marathons. My running days are over and I look it!

You daughter may never get to read them once you start. I loaned my niece my copy of Twilight and she wasn't reading fast enough for me so I bought another copy so I could read it AGAIN, :rolleyes1

I think I am looking forward to reading them. Any kind of escape from my real life is welcome right now. :)

I am not getting WAY dressed up. I will probably bring some cute skirts and capri pants that a nice tshirt will work with for dinner and a nicer outfit/dress for dressier night.

Capris!! I have lots of Capri's. :goodvibes :goodvibes

I knew I could trust you. And, I wouldn't say it if I didn't love him.

You'll see a little bit of everything on the cruise. For women who are stressing, there's no "formal" night on the 4 night cruise. You can dress up, but nice capris and cute top, a skirt with a nice t-shirt and sandals, something like that is fine for the dining rooms.

Men are okay in khakis and polos, unless they're going to Palo for dinner.

I'll be wearing a skirt and nice t-shirt with sandals most nights to dinner, maybe capris and a pirate-like shirt (I have no idea what this will be at this point) on pirate night. DH will have his khakis on with a polo.

Have a good nap.:goodvibes
Naps are never long enough!

I'm like a virus....bwaaahhaaaa

:lmao:
No thats tomorrow night. :goodvibes

Not for me - I can DIS at work but no chat.

:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

A newborn!

Please don't tell me I have to deal with this the rest of my life!!!!!

For some reason my mom thinks since I am single it makes a difference - she never gets mad when my married sister doesn't tell her things. :confused3

Yep. But I think the married thing may affect - my Dad told DH I was now his worry on our wedding day. :confused3

I think I have been pressured into reading the Twilight books. My mom bought the books for my DD for getting Super Honor Roll at school. DD is 12. She started reading the first book but feels they may be a bit "old" for her. She asked me to read them first so I can help her with anything she doesn't understand. I am reading Denis Leary's "Why We Suck" right now... that's a long way from Twilight. :lmao:

QUESTION:

Do we (a collective "women" we) need to bring dresses for dinner if we are not eating a Palo? I'm one of those moms who always makes sure her kids are dressed adorable, but I rarely take time to make sure I am adorable. The only time I wear make up is if someone dies or gets married.... I work from home, so I can wear shorts and T-shirts all day long and no one cares.

So... long story short... do I need to purchase a couple dresses?

I like not being alone in caving to pressure!

I usually don't bother with dressing up much either but DD has her own version of peer pressure on this one. And Brandie's dress posts had me shopping on line to add at least one more. They were too cute.

In a nutshell......

We (did) actually have what is called a POL, possesion only licence, which allowed us to possess firearms that were already owned, but you could not buy or borrow a firearm.
This has now been phased out, and we now need a PAL.
To buy/borrow you needed a PAL, possession acquisition licence, which involves a background check.
These are for non-restricted weapons only, hunting rifles and shotguns.
Anything else, like pistols, automatics etc, you need a restricted firearms licence with a more thorough background check and visits from the RCMP whenever they feel like it to ensure proper storage, etc.
All firearms need to be registered with the government.
They have been talking about central armouries for a while now, but that is meeting with a lot of resistance.

It is ridiculous really.
Criminals don't register guns, law abiding citizens do.
But I may have to store my guns in an armoury and apply to retreive them before the hunt season.
Oh, and if the police show up at my house for some reason, they know I have hunting rifles, so they come with back-up, because I have regeistered them.
Bows and crossbows do not fall under any of these rules.

All licences require a gun safety course (3 days) and if you wish to hunt, a hunter safety course (3 days) before you can get your hunting licence.
I did all this back when I was 14 and the red tape was a lot easier.
DW is going thru all the rigamaroll now for hers.
All guns must be securely stored in a locked cabinet or safe, we just cant hang them on a wall anymore like my dad did with his.

That took longer than I thought, sorry.

I knew someone else would know that stuff!

I prefer crop over capri (just a tad longer).

I actually do too, although I tend to incorrectly use the terms interchangeably. Guess that's why I'm not successful on Fashion Wars. :)
