Okay, I heard that the water on the ship is better than bottled, straight from the tap. Can anyone confirm?

I'm just bringing rum...and SoCo for DH...and maybe wine, and beer....then buying rum in Nassau....and rum cake....and some more rum.....is it May yet?

lol! :rotfl2: I am with you- is it May yet. I NEED a vacation NOW! Work has been bad.

Happy V-day everyone- DH and I don't really celebrate the hallmark holidays, but he did get me some chocolates. which i don't need......especially when trying to lose weight for the cruise! so you can blame him when i look terrible!:rotfl: :confused3

Yes, I think I am still going. I figure if I get an ADR for the 2pm, that should give me enough time to have a leisurely tea and get back to the Dolphin for my town car pick up. My flight leaves at 7:55 that night. So if I get back to the hotel by 4:30, that should be plenty of time. Maybe even enough time to get one last piece of chocolate mousse cake from the Boardwalk bakery to enjoy at the airport. I would love your company, or anyone else who would like to join us.

Kim

P.S. Feel better soon

Then count me in for the tea.
DH said he would take to boy's to MK. :dance3:
This will be great!! :cool1:
I will mark it in my agenda,so I don't forget. :thumbsup2
Now do you know how much this will cost?

I hope everyone had a nice Valentines Day!:lovestruc I received the biggest flower arrangement. It was very nice. I went shopping for FE stuff and then went out to eat. When I came home I started working on my FE gifts.:cool1:
This is going to take awhile to get them all done. :goodvibes

I agree that the water is pretty good straight from the tap. Only occasionally do I get a bottle of water and usually just when we are going on an excursion.

I was thinking about signing up for a snorkeling shore tour. Has anybody done that and do you recommend/not recommend? Also, is there going to be some awesome podcast party on the ship that I will miss if I get off the boat? (Such a thing has been rumored!)

Are you talking about the snorkeling trail at Castaway Cay or the one where you go on a catamaran away from the island? For the snorkel trail, it is fun but I would recommend to do this early, as soon as you get off the ship. This is because when the ship comes in it stirs up the sediment and also when the swimmers all get in they stir up the sediment. It takes a while to get in the snorkeling area, but we can definitely see more and it is clearer earlier.

For the catamaran one, I recommend it but not for your first trip. You meet on the ship so it doesn't really pay to get off right away and therefore you miss some time in the morning. Then you go away from the ship and get back around 12:30 or so. While it was a fun excursion and the snorkeling was much better than the snorkel trail, if you've never been to Castaway Cay, I would stay on the island instead. There is always your next cruise!

I get the Buckingham Palace tea. You get a pot of whichever tea you like from a large list. 4 different tea sandwiches, a mini onion tart, a scone with jam and clotted cream, a jam tart and your choice of dessert, 2 pastries or strawberries and fresh whipped cream.

They do have a good size menu. Here is the link to look at it.

I found out on our first cruise to leave more room in our luggage for rum cake.

Those are some beautiful pics to see this Sunday! Can I borrow them for my screensaver at work?

Chiming in to say Hi from the sick house....we've been down with a virus all week!:guilty:

I dragged myself to the computer to make Palo ressies though..lol.

Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh.........

I needed that! Thanks for posting those Paul! :beach:

I am finally well enough to be back at work. Thank heavens for paid sick days because today is the first day I have made it into work for the month of February! My shift started at 7 - if it wouldn't have been Sunday I would have been late.

We had decided on 2 days WDW and 2 days SW pre/post cruise but I came in today and found out that we have a ratification vote on Wednesday. I have been working without a contrct since January - but that is not unusual for us. I am wondering what we will be offered - don't know if this will change my plans or not. Might as well wait and see now.:surfweb:

I hear you both of my kids have had strep this week. They are on the mend now. Now if DH and I don't get it I have some antibiotics already just in case.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

We are having a nice quiet afternoon at home. Later we are going to grab a bite to eat at our nearby mall. I think Paradise Bakery or Noodles.

DW and I have been talking about the Podcast Cruise this morning. I've informed her of some of the plans we've been discussing. She's ok with everything. What choice does she have! She's always ok with excessive Disney planning, it's one of the reasons why I love her so much.
We did lunch at Five Guys...after I spent the morning shopping! And then DH took me to dinner at Stone Creek after we saw Cirque! It was an excellent evening...

Do I really need a cooler? I hadn't planned on getting any adult beverages to bring on board. I am just not a big drinker. When I cruised on Princess, they had a small fridge in the room. What do they provide on Disney? I don't remember if this has been mentioned before. I might bring on water and Pepsi. Not sure. Help please.

TIA,

Kim
We're not bringing a cooler either. I keep trying to buy one and DH keeps asking why when we can put it in one of our other carry-ons anyway...:rotfl:

Yay for rum!! We'll probably bring some rum...maybe some of the stronger stuff so that I don't need quite as much. Heck who am I kidding...i'm a cheap drunk. We went to Cirque du Soleil yesterday and DH got me a drink. It was just a rum and diet coke, but it was a double shot of rum. That alone made me buzzy!

Not sure what DH is bringing. Just depends on his mood. I might also bring a bottle or two of Rosa Regale.

How did you like Stone Creek? We haven't tried it yet. It's looks pretty interesting from the outside. There appears to be a second level overlooking the main road of the mall.

Five Guys...Yummm!!!

We like Stone Creek a lot! They have awesome French Onion soup...and I dislike onions...lol...and an awesome pork tenderloin sandwich. We sat upstairs for the first time last night...it is a little pricey though. $75 for two dinners, two drinks, two appetizers...but it was really good!

I have a question about ADR's. Yvette asked me to mention to the CM at the DRC that there was a person with a dining restriction when the ADR was made. This made me wonder if I need to have them revised for my diabetes, or is that something each restaurant handle that since it is a common thing?
