Good Afternoon
Packing was a bit more difficult for this trip as the FE gifts took up most of my rolling carry on.
I am bringing 6 pairs of shoes including the pair I'll be wearing.
1) Sketchers
2) flip flops
3) water sneakers
4) casual sandals
5) black strappy high heals
6) white high healed wedges
Less than a week to go now.

Finished all my pre-cruise shopping today. Now I just have to pack, clean the house, finish a scrapbook, finish my flatties that aren't working out so well, cater a meal, volunteer at school for about 11 hours, go to a board meeting, soccer practice X4, eye appointment, mow the lawn, do the laundry, clean the house again, get a manicure, go to the salon, and then, I believe I am ready to go on vacation.
Two major events for us while we are on the cruise: DH will find out how his quarter went. This could be good or bad. And, second, the Japanese will decide if they want the American students to make a trip to visit them this summer. James and Madi both are planning on going with the school trip. But, because of the swine flu, Japan is not sure they want them coming. They will decide May 11. They are both quite bummed at this point.

I think i've got all of my clothes laid out and ready to go. I've got just a bit of laundry to do and then everything will be ready. DH is packing himself...
I'm only bringing a few pairs of shoes. A pair of black heels, black flat Crocs sandals, tan Crocs sandals, and my pink Mickey Crocs. I may throw in my old Crocs to wear on CC...I know those will stay on my feet while in the water.
All of my magnets are done. If I add anymore, I think DH will have a stroke.
Flatties are done...
Got to get ahead on my homework though...since i'll miss week three of class, I'll have to turn that homework in early. The homework that will be due when I get back will have to wait until we get back. The instructor tends to cut the amount of homework due in half so I don't want to work THAT hard in advance...
Thankfully we get home on Sunday morning, so that gives me the rest of Sunday and Monday before class to finish it. Plus i'll have to take my midterm when I get back...hoping that midterm isn't as nasty as the last one was...
Need to give myself a manicure and a pedicure Thursday or Friday...

How did I know Alicia would have me beat with the shoe count? I only have 2 pairs of heels and they are both black. I am a Birkenstock collector. I am thinking about bringing 4 pairs. I think I will get rid of one pair of them, and at least 2 other pairs.
We had to get up and out very early this morning. The Pittsburgh Marathon goes 1/2 block from my house in one direction and a couple of blocks in another direction. We get trapped. We had to go see my oldest niece in her last local crew race. She is graduating from high school and she doesn't plan to row at Ohio State. So out of the house before they closed all the streets around us and we headed north to Moraine State Park to watch her row on Lake Arthur. We stopped for breakfast at a local popular chain called Eat N Park. They used to have car hops when I was young so that is where the name came from. Breakfast was good, eggs benedict. Yummy. So, we saw the races, unfortunately, they didn't go well for my DN.
Since I won't be home for Mother's Day, I'm taking Mom out for dinner tonight. I need a little rest before hand. Talk to you all later.

too, but my feet don't like high heels...I wish they did!! But my checkbook is thankful that my feet don't play well with the heels...I'm so not doing anything to prepare for our trip right now. I got sucked into Legally Blonde with Reese Witherspoon...this movie cracks me up!
