First evening...what would you do?

The hours for the parks are all over the place for Oct.. Some nights DCA closes at 8:00 p.m.. I would hate for you to waste an entire days entry and then not be able to do the things you wanted to that evening. Just make sure that you check the schedule for the evening that you will be arriving to make sure you have the time that you need to get those things done. Have a great trip!
Good point. It appears a lot of that has to do with the Halloween party at DL. Which also means the OP should check about whether that is happening before trying to head to DL which often closes at 6PM when there is a party that night.

Thanks for reminding me to check the times! Unless they change things, which I know they are famous for doing, DCA doesn't close until 10 pm. We will likely want to get the kiddos into bed before that anyway so I think we'll be good. Our Monday evening plans are "freebies" anyway since I got us the Orbitz deal "buy 3 days, get 1 free." We'll get Monday "free" then have Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday to tour the parks and then we have breakfast ressies at PCH grill Friday morning and Halloween party Friday evening. Sounds like a picture perfect week to me!

Sounds great! Gotta love those free days!:) We had one of those on our first trip to WDW last November. We used it at the MK one afternoon/evening and then had 4 more days at the parks. FUN!

They have changed things; DCA is closing at 8 pm on most weeknights :(
