First Disneyland Trip!! Oct 20 - 27!

We were having a great time at the zoo. However I soon remember how many hills there are to climb at the zoo. It was sort of getting to me! We made out ways up to see the panda bears

He was beautiful and eating a head of lettuce. Then we rode the skytron back towards the front of the park

Then we went into the Children's Zoo part. Real Cute. Loved the petting zoo. These two were fighting for my love.

Haha! This little guy won and he sat with me until I finally walked away! Real Sweetheart.

At this point my back was realling killing me, So we got an ice cream and sat for awhile. I took some tylenol. We decided to do the bus tour So I could sit for a bit. It was ok. You don't see much. However we did a nice view of the Elephants, A giraffe and her baby, the new part they are building, and the cheetahs. Now the cheetahs were col because each cheetah also had a dog in the pen with them. The bus driver explained they are naturually nervous and anxious animals. The dogs become their friends and help them to relax. They play and go for walks together. It was awesome. We seen two of them chase each other around!! Before we left we wanted to see the Pandas one more time. Amazing!!

We had a nice day at the zoo. We stopped at the gift shop on the way out then caught our bus. We slept again on the way home. This time we didn't have to get off at the station, this bus brought us right back to our hotel. We were sleepy. It was around 7 I think. I got some pizza hut that was on the 3rd floor of our hotel (Very cool) and we got all cozy in our beds. We were going to order a movie to watch and decided on bridemaids since we've wanted to see it. However when we went to buy it it was $15.99. UH CRAZY! WAY TOO MUCH. So we just watched tv instead. I actually fell asleep early.

Now this day we tried to seep in and did not set an alarm but due to the weird time change still got up at 9:30. Ha. Oh well. So we slowly got ready to do to Disneyland for the day. This is when we realized we both made the mistake and forgot one of our outfits. Ugh. I am usually so ocd about packing I couldn't believe we did. So we decided to wear out outfits from yesturday. So we headed towards the park. It was not very busy today which was nice.

we headed towards Haunted Mansion to ride- the wait was only 13 mins! haha.

Another 'spooky carriage' for me. Then we rode Splash Mountain (with ponchos of course) It was only a 10 min wait. Which was mainly just walking through the que. This is my fav ride at WDW. And I loved it here as well. I was really happy to have our ponchos since it was a little chilly out. and we would have gotten wet. We were feeling hungry and couldn't really find a spot. So we thought what about the carnation cafe? We didn't have ressies? Let's give it a shot. We had to wait 20 mins which was not bad at all. This time I tried the chicken pot pie and my mom has the chicken san on a crossaint. OMG SO GOOD. I could eat here everyday of my life. Mom agreeded. Yum! I am hungry right now just thinking about it. We rode indy again with only a 10 min wait. Went to see how long peter pan was - 30 mins. so we passed.

So we decided to check out the castle a little.

When we went to check out Snow White's Grotto Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter were down there. We had never met them before so it was a nice surprise.

However the picture came out blurry. Boo..

Then we headed towards Main Street for a snack. Mommy had an ice cream cone and I had a pumpkin muffin with cream cheese frosting

Yum. So good. So dense. Couldn't finish it.

We decided to head back to the hotel for a nap. But on our way out we spotted Gepettato & Pearla

Also Cruella De Ville was there running around the band being crazy. We headed back to the hotel for a nap. TONIGHT WAS THE HALLOWEEN PARTY!! YAHOO!

We ended up sleeping longer then we meant to. So we got ready and headed to the halloween party around 5:30. I was Minnie and my mom was a Cat.

So we got our wristbands and treat bags and trick or treated. and more. and more. haha. we eneded up by Big Thunder Ranch and decided to wait to meet MIckey & Minnie. 35-40 min wait

We went to see which Villians they had out. They had Cruella, Queen Of hearts, Shadow Man, and Honest John. We decided not to wait since the line was long. We trick or treated some more.

We then grabbed seats by where the parade began. It was an okay parade. Definitley not as good as the one at the Halloween Party at WDW. However the very last float in the back was...MISS PIGGY!! I was so excited. I love her. I couldn't believe it.

We then trick or treated through pixie hollow then got spots for the fireworks. Now we had about 30 mins for them to start. We found a nice spot behind a family that was standing so we stood behind them. There were 2 mom son the ground behind us with little kids. The woman says to us "LADYS IF YOU STAND THERE YOU BETTER SIT DOWN". I was confused? We had watched the fireworks the other day while standing? Heck 75% of the people there that night were standing? Including the family in front us? Confused I asked her why and she said 'Those were the rules' and 'Her kids woudn't be able to see the castle'. Now I am all for kids..but if you have a three year old and you want her to see the castle while seeing the fireworks, perhaps you should get a spot very early in the front. And I didn't understand what differance it would make considering the family in front of us was standing. My mom was not going to be able to sit on the cement with nothing to rest her back against for 30 mins..So I told the lady No. The crazy part was when the fire works started EVERYBODY stood up. I didn't get it? Whatever lady. The fireworks were GREAT!! I loved them. I loved Zero in the sky. Amazing.. After that We trick or treated some more and then ended the night with haunted mansion. It was a great Halloween Party. GREAT CANDY!!! Loved it.

I had a nice time at the party. It was fun. I wish they would of gave our diff types of candy rather then mostly chocolate. Like gummy and stuff, but the candy was 100 times better then at WDW. I also liked the healthy options and a few times I would ask for those. We headed back to the hotel. Stopped at McDonald's for a snack. When we got back to the hotel I realized I accidently left our keys in the room. hahah. SO they had to give us a new one. Off to sleep we went. We had ONE MORE Day at Disney. I was getting sad and didn't want to leave!!

This was our last day. I was so sad. We planned on getting up at 8 however we slept til 9. We got ready. I couldn't find one of my earings so that put us behind. We finally left around 10. I was in a cranky mood because I knew we would be leaving soon. So we headed to Fantasyland to ride Peter Pan. It was 30 mins but my mom really wanted to ride again so we did. Looked in a gift shop. I waned the Alice in Wonderland tea set but I knew it would never make it home. I randomly saw Ariel standing all by herself. So we met her.

So we headed towards Tarzan's Tree house. I liked it. Really neat.

Liked all the details and interactive stuff as well.We then had to go on Indiana Jones ONE MORE TIME

After my back was killing me. I couldn't take it. So we found a bench by the hub. and Just people watched. It was nice. We saw a little girl around 9 or so walking with her mom. She was dressed as the Snow Queen. As she walked by she sort of raised her hands and gave us a dirty look just like the snow queen would. IT WAS ADORABLE and made my day. Her mother laughed and we just cracked up. She was SOO playing the part. It was amazing. So then we got me a fast pass for space mountain. I was not sure If I should do it or not since my back was hurting me so but I decided to give it a shot, I wanted to see what the ghoast galaxy was all about. Then we were off to lunch. The Carnation Cafe!! One more time!! Haha. I was trying to dig my advil out of my purse when the waitress came So I quickly said I wanted the turket san with a salad. I Really meant to say I wanted it with the Baked Potato Soup but she caught me off caught. Haha oh well. It was amazing. as always. Oscar came out to say hello again. He said they will be tearing up Main Street at some point to make things bigger. He said the cafe will be closed for 6 months. Hmm...

So I decided to try out Ghost Galaxy. I was nervous since I don't really like it at WDW. Too jerky. But this one was great. My mom was too afraid to go so I went on my own. We decided it was time for a nap. So we walked around for a touch, I didn't want to go. We would be going to CA that night for WOC so this was my last time in the park. My mom sat on a bench while I went to see the castle one last time, say my goodbyes. At first I thought it was little and silly, but it really grew on me.

I threw a coin in the well and made a wish.

At this point I was trying to stall so I took pics of the flowers..haha. But it as time to go.. Or was it?? ... We seen this crazy guy on the way out and had to get a pic

Donald's Line was closed so I just snapped a quick pic. Finally my mom dragged me out of there. I was not happy about it. lol. But it was time for a nap..

So we woke up from our nap and we were off to California Adventure. It was around 5. We decided to head towards the pier area.

We stopped at the Blue Sky Cellar to see what's to come. Looks great. So we then got our World Of Color Picnics. Now when we saw our options none of them really looked that appealing. We ended up each getting a kids meal. haha. They were all the same price So It was not a big deal.

Each one came with a cold chicken leg, a string cheese, a package of apple slices, a package of goldfish crackers. a vanilla cupcake and a small bottle of water or milk. They also each came with a light up bracelet. And they gave us a cool World Of Color bag to carry them in!! My mom also bought a coke. We were pleased. It was not amazing but it was not bad eaither. Plus we got two FP's for world of color in the yellow section and that was the whole point. The WOC seemed kind of confusing. But we decided to ride Ariel Again!! Loved it. Walked around. Played some more games. It was like 10 to 7. The wait for Toy Story Mania was 30 mins. We decided to go for it. We loved that ride. So Fun. Then we took a quick bathroom break and headed for the World of Color. We had a decent spot actually. The only down side was the people in front of us were literally all 6ft Plus tall. so me being 5'2'' and my mom 5' it was difficult to see. But we did love it. It was amazing.

With that being over that meant the trip had come to an end. So we went back to the hotel to pack our stuff to get ready to leave. My mom ended up getting sort of sick (picnic?) So I packed up most everything and curled up for bed. Was very sad to be leaving but had a great time.

So we woke up and it was time to leave. Boo... We were all ready to leave and left the room around 8:15. We checked out and had them call us a cab. It took about 15-20 mins for it to come. The cab ride was about 20 mins and cost $38. We were leaving out of the Orange County Airport. We went through security. Got some last minute souvenirs. Has McDonald's Breakfast and waited to board the plane. Now this particular day they were testing all the alarms in the terminal. Now I don't hate flying but I don't love it eaither. This was making me very uneasy and uncomfortable. Ahh. We finally got on our plane. They played the movie the zoo keeper which was funny. We had a layover in Chicago again. Ate ate Chilli's again. And finally made our way home to Michigan. The dogs were happy to see us and I was happy to be in my own bed again!! Great trip!!

Here is my Lennox Lady & the Tramp Dream Wedding set. I was nervous about it making it's way home but it did great. I put it in my carry on

I don't collect the pins but I loved these ones. When the girl ringing me up asked who they were for I said me, she also gave me the just married pin since they were out of just engaged. I love it

These were the makeup sets I had got at Sephora

I also got a white scarf with mickeys on it. A blue ariel sweatshirt you will see in some of my pics. A purple sweatshirt in some of my pics, a disneyland t-shirt. a Christmas ornamanrt of a big diamond ring with minnie and mickey in wedding gear on it. Also a minnie coffee cup and a mickey coffee cup for me and my fiance. I also got disneyland sticker book for my scrapbook. Minni Ears. two charms for my bracelet.. I think I got some other things but can't remember! ahh.

I just read your entire trip report and i loved it! I'm going to Disneyland for the first time in February and its a mother daughter trip, so reading your trip report just made me so much more excited.

Sounds like you had a great trip! Like you, I've never been to DL before, but I'm going in March, so I really don't know much! How do you get VIP seats for shows?

When we booked our trip we booked right through Disney. When they sent out our travel documents they sent along a booklet with perks. It was like Vip seating to Aladdin Show. to the muppett shot. Vip seating to a parade. Vip to animation academy. it was pretty cool!
