First Disney Stay ?????

First and most frequent on-site stay has been at Ft. Wilderness. Have also stayed at the Dolphin twice for business meetings and once at Dixie Landings (now Riverside).

My first stay was at Poly in 1978. There were 8 of us travelling (DM, DD, kids and friends) My mother couldn't get two rooms at same resort, (there were the only two resorts at the time -plus Golf Villas and campground) but funny enough, was able to get one room at each hotel. Girls stayed at Poly, Boys at CR! It was fun going back and forth between the two. I remember having breakfast at Chef Mickeys (not sure if it was called that then) and thinking it was really cool to see the characters walking around. That same trip we were late getting to our Eastern Airlines flight - and as a result we all were bumped up to first class!! Those were the days!

Our first stay was in the *** in 1994. We had a great time. After that we bought in OKW and have not strayed away from there yet. In Nov. we will be doing the AKL conciege(without the kids).

First Disney stay was in FW in a 5th-wheel camper with my parents & siblings. I think it was 1976 & I was about 12. I have been hooked ever since.

DH's first Disney stay was also in FW with his parents & siblings. They were in one of the trailers they used to rent.

We both agree that FW is our favorite resort. We love the cabins & the quiet atmosphere.

My parents constantly apologize to my DH for taking me on that first trip & turning me into the Disneyholic I am today. ;)

My first stay was in November of '71...just a month or so after WDW opened...when I was 7 years old. We stayed at the Polynesian because the Contemporary was all booked up. Apparently the monorail running through it gave the Contemporary the extra "Wow" factor and made it the most popular resort. We absolutely loved the Poly though and stayed there on two subsequent vacations...before we discovered the Wilderness Homes at FW. Now we're DVC members and usually stay at OKW.
